Billionaires, Hollywood celebrities, and climate activists share fame, fortune, and a profile they work hard to control. All of which is why so many are calling on a public company not to track their flights and expose their carbon footprints.
AFP reports flight-following websites and Twitter accounts that offer real-time views of air traffic are on the end of regular pushback ranging from complaints to gear seizures by those who would rather their movements are not in the public domain. One U.S.-based group alone gets dozens of “requests” each year to stop posting aircraft flight movements, according to its organiser, Dan Streufert.
“We have not removed anything so far. This is all public information.

They don't want us to SEE how much they completely disregard the things that they want to force on us.
No, public tracking should always remain. What do you have to hide, you lying hypocrites? Truth is always a good thing....except to lying propagandists.

Childish. This is what kids do, when they want to do something they know they shouldn't but are determined they will anyway.
Keep tracking.

Liberals need to have chips implanted so politicians and predators can be tracked at all times in real time.

Oh my goodness; where to begin? First off, owning and operating a private jet is legal in most of the formerly "free" world. If you can afford it and you are not breaking any ACTUAL, written laws, then good for you.
Secondly, nobody, rich or poor, should order their life on the opinions of anonymous internet scolds.
Third point, flight plans are, in fact, in the public domain. I have no problem with those flight plans being made available to the public.
Finally, and most importantly, carbon dioxide is NOT a pollutant. It is quite necessary to life on this planet. Put out as much as you like. It harms nothing.
That is all.

Buy a plane with propellers. They're not private jets.

I live near a large suburban airport near a major leftist city where private jets routinely land and take off. I can sit in my backyard just about any time of the day and within minutes, a private jet takes off or lands. consider that is only one airport of several around my city (there are several others). There are a huge number of private jets roaming around the country. Commercial jets are for peons, doncha know.

They are afraid someone is going to shoot term down or track them down. You can bet George Soros is buried somewhere in this complaint.

Heck, it should be in print every day.
They should be charged $20,000 for each take off and $30,000 for each landing of their private jets.

The air traffic control system is funded by taxpayers. Flight data should be public information.

What flaming hypocrites. We seem to be establishing a nobility in this country which consists of Left-Wing Billionaires who have incredible egos and sense of entitlement. The Democrats fawn all over them and obey every command. Maybe the French were right when they beheaded most of their entitled.

I'm a plane tracker contributor. The tracking website that I 'feed' will remove anyone who requests it from their tracked list. But unless the planes turn off their transponders (which is illegal, unless they are Military), they can't stop people from tracking them.
And the First Amendment says they can't stop us peasants from sharing that information.

and climate criminality

Oh the poor babies, they don't want anyone knowing how much they pollute. They like to point fingers at others up until they get one pointed at them. Leading the hypocrite charge is old horse face John Kerry, he served in Viet Nam you know, the biggest polluter on the planet.
