The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said it will conduct “flyovers” of the Permian Basin region in Texas and New Mexico to “survey oil and gas operations to identify large emitters of methane” amid the Biden administration’s climate policy initiative.
“The flyovers are vital to identifying which facilities are responsible for the bulk of these emissions and therefore where reductions are most urgently needed,” said Earthea Nance, an EPA official, in an Aug. 1 news release. The flyovers, which will use infrared cameras, will be conducted until Aug. 15, .(snip)The Permian Basin accounts for 43 percent of the nation’s oil supply, meaning any federal regulation or rules may impact gas
In other words, fuel prices aren’t high enough yet….

Does anyone know what type of electricity powers the WH? Is it from fossil fuels, solar, windmills, hydropower? If it’s fossil fuels it needs to be shut down … immediately. Let biteme and his consort live in candlelight.

Why did Obama put a $75,000 propane gas tank in his yard on Martha's Vineyard? What does he know and when did he know it?

What vicious, traitorous lying SOBs these commies are!
They have not a scrap of data to support their lunatic claims - - yet they forge ahead as if they did.
And where are the Pubbies? What kind of a fight are they putting up on our behalf? Mitch? Kevin? Fightin' Roy? Anyone - - - - ?

A couple of weeks ago I was looking at RadarBoxdotcom and saw there was a plane flying overlapping oblong patterns over East and Central Texas, then moved off west. I noted it was doing this at 65,000 feet! When I clicked on the plane's icon, It said it was an ER-2 - a new designation for the old U-2 spy plane from the 1950s and '60s. I didn't even know there were any of those still flying (remember Gary Powers?) Information showed it is owned by NASA now. Who knew they were still flying? And with this story one might have a clue as to why this particular plane was spending hours overflying areas with oil and gas fields? Makes one go "hmmm..."

The EPA is a one of our biggest problems. Methane is NOT within their purview. They have extended their reach far beyond their enabling legislation.

They are also going to fly over every Mexican restaurant and chili parlor in TX to measure the amount of methane being emitted by their patrons on their way from the restaurant to the parking lot.

I’m liking secession. The Gulf Coast states and one or two others who love freedom. THEN Komrade Xiden can try a “flyover” and be shot down over sovereign airspace.

Be a shame if some of the riggers had a MANPAD or two that went off by accident when the epaers flew over.
The EPA has outlived it's usefulness. It needs to be closed up along with all the other TLAs in dc.

We hear that, from texas, new mexico , and into nevada, just that particular zone would keep us energy independent for centuries.
Handy evidence --n'est ce pas--to support conclusions reported, back in the day, that pa wv the rust belt and the sw states
really went to dt in the last election.

If the EPA is looking for emitters of methane, they should look in DC.

Trump got the EPA under control but Biden is using the agency as a secret police force in his war against Americans.
