A man died this weekend in Dallas after he was struck by the same bullet he had fired at a woman, police said. The Dallas Police Department said officers responded to an address in the 2200 block of Medical District just after 11:35 a.m. Saturday for a report of a shooting. “When officers arrived, they could see a large amount of blood and a blood trail in front of an apartment,” officials said Sunday. “No one was located inside the apartment.” Around the same time, there was another call about a man and a woman who were found in a car suffering from gunshot wounds. A subsequent investigation has determined, according to the police,

That karma is tough. Ask Redmon, whose victim didn't die--he did, by his own bullet. He didn't quite make the 27 Club.

Just trying to make sense out of this. Was he forcing the woman's head and neck down, if you get my drift, at gunpoint?

FTA: "man and a woman who were found in a car suffering from gunshot wounds." Who shot the car? How bad were its wounds? Can a car suffer?

The logistics don’t make sense to me. And, he died of a gunshot wound to his leg, and the woman survived a gunshot to her neck? Am I missing something?

#5, the gunshot to the woman's neck apparently did not hit any veins or arteries (and perhaps nothing of significance), while the shot to the man's leg likely hit his sciatic artery (which would be entirely consistent with the scenario suggested by poster #2). A wound to the sciatic artery is likely to result in death due to blood loss.

Same as others, I cannot quite grok how the decedent Byron Redmon managed to shoot himself in the femoral artery with the same bullet that went through his victim's neck and not only didn't kill her--she was treated and released! For the article to be complete, we need a 3-D coroner's report showing the bullet's path through the bodies, similar to what we see on Crime 360. However, managing a shot this extraordinary shows unusual shooting skills on the part of Redmon, or perhaps it proves him to be a contortionist worthy of a Chinese circus troupe to get his legs all akimbo around his victim before pulling the trigger and giving himself an unstoppable fatal squirter in the thigh. As John Wayne said, "Life's tough. It's tougher if you're stupid."

Perhaps they were making a video and he thought the gun was loaded with blanks. There is a lot of information missing from this report.

First thought was ricochet. Second thought is he was literally standing over her when he shot her in the neck and never realized the gun was point back at himself at his own leg. Both are possible, I guess. Darwin always wins!

The Left’s Special Kind of Stupid 5 replies

Are Democrats really this dumb, or are they counting on their supporters being even dumber? The answer isn’t always obvious, but it’s usually a little of both – Democrats are that dumb AND their supporters are particularly stupid – which way the scales tilt in any particular instance depends on the participants. It must be a liberating feeling to be one of those people going on TV knowing that no matter how ignorant you are, no one is going to know the truth or question you out of fear of being destroyed by the left-wing mob. That echo chamber protects some of the most ignorant creatures

Over the weekend, Houston's Democrat Mayor Sylvester Turner held a gun buyback event in a church parking lot where residents could turn in their firearms and receive a gift card ranging from $50 to $200 with no questions asked. According to the Mayor's announcement, the funds provided to those turning in firearms came from the American Rescue Plan — aka American taxpayers — and the amount-per-firearm was $50.00 for a non-functioning firearm, $100.00 for a rifle or shotgun, $150.00 for a handgun, and $200.00 for a fully automatic rifle. Heralded as a success by the mayor and hyped up by the liberal Houston Chronicle,

Notorious Al Qaeda terror group leader Ayman al-Zawahiri was reported to have died in a drone strike over the weekend in Kabul, Afghanistan. President Biden announced the news from the balcony of the White House. But you’ll forgive some people if they fall into the “trust but verify camp” on al-Zawahiri-is-dead news. You see, the world was also told that al-Zawahiri died before. Task and Purpose inserted natural skepticism about Monday’s news in a story headlined, “Osama Bin Laden’s Al Qaeda deputy is totally dead for real this time.” The military website acknowledged that “after mistakenly being declared dead several times in the past, Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri’s death

This deliberate decision has caused irreversible damage to the military and the force’s ability to accomplish the mission. Austin should resign for his failures to maintain necessary force end strength, the worst recruitment crisis since the Vietnam war, for playing politics with soldiers' careers over

Democrats and the media claim the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, was an insurrection, and they’ve pushed that narrative relentlessly. But last week, the Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center published a study that debunked their claim. According to the analysis, most of the rioters were motivated by loyalty to President Trump. And yet, you probably never heard about that. “In the most comprehensive study to date of what motivated the Trump supporters to attack the Capitol, Shorenstein Center researchers found that 20.6 percent of the rioters, a plurality, were motivated to take part in the riot because they supported Trump,” reports The Harvard Crimson. “Another 20.6 percent of the

The administration’s “green” energy proposals, like those that have been adopted in Europe, are leading this country toward an economic, social and strategic disaster. It is hard to think of any set of policies, adopted by any government at any moment in history, that rival our “green” mania for sheer destructiveness. Although, that said, Sri Lanka’s brief commitment to “sustainability” comes to mind. Speaking of sustainability, this piece by Stuart Gottlieb in today’s Wall Street Journal, titled “Biden’s Climate Plans Are Unsustainable,” makes some great points. "[T]he greatest threat to [environmental] progress—particularly in the critical realm of climate—comes not from such emerging mega-emitters as China and India,
