NYPD officers pelted with bottles in wild
scene after Bronx Dominican Day parade

Several cops were punched and pelted with glass bottles by a rowdy gaggle of men in the Bronx following the borough’s Dominican Day parade Sunday. A group of young men began throwing punches and then bottles at the officers in a chaotic scene caught on video as the cops attempted to detain a man for possession of a firearm. The unruly men were reportedly drinking on the street, blasting loud music and blocking traffic at the intersection of 168th Street and Sheridan Avenue, near the route of the Dominican Day parade which ended shortly before the out-of-control incident, police sources said.(Snip)“Yo, back up! Go home!”

Comments:

It's been ages since we've had an American Day. Instead, we get mayhem in the streets. "Go home"; that would work. Only one person was shot at this year's parade, which is surprising.

Dominican Americans are extremely hard-working and devoted to their families - - which usually consist of both spouses. A few drunken borrachos can't alter that.

The conundrum to me is why there are even police officers available to pelt. WHY, for all that’s good, would you be a police officer these days.?

Under the state’s policy, a woman with a cancer-related diagnosis could have a mastectomy, but a transgender

The hellfire missiles that are said to have taken out Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, but not his family, are a newer generation of missiles that are high on precision and devoid of explosives. The AGM 14 R9X missile, made by Lockheed Martin, can be fired from, in Zawahiri’s case, a Reaper drone as well as other platforms. It can be fired from 600 miles away. Because its payload is tungsten and not packed explosives, this version of the hellfire doesn’t have the accompanying explosion– unless it hits, for instance, a full gas tank in a car.
