‘Like a public shaming’: a night with

On a searingly hot night in New York City, a group of mask-wearing activists grasping bags of lentils set out to stage the biggest blitzkrieg yet upon a new target for climate campaigners in the US – the tires of SUVs. The group – a mixture of ages and genders – split up as midnight approached, heading down the streets of the Upper East Side, lined by some of the most expensive apartments in the world and a gleaming parade of high-end, parked SUVs. This type of vehicle is the second largest cause of the global rise in carbon dioxide emissions over the

Comments:

Mediots are actually accompanying the eco-terrorists this time. Should be fun when an SUV owner catches them in the act.

I love how they are doing this in big democrat cities. NYC went 76% for Biden, so likely 3/4 of the SUVs they target are democrats getting exactly what they vote for. Sorry for the other 1/4.

Let's see, you deflate someone's tire what do they do? They call AAA or another service provider and they have to send a tow truck or a vehicle to fix what these idiots broke. So now you have more emissions and the SUV is back on the road. So you actually doubled the emissions by doing this. Typical liberal non-thinking. You do this to my 4Runner and you'll be hurt.

Only the second largest? The number 1 cause of the global rise in carbon dioxide emissions is electric generation much of which is for EVs but they aren't slashing EV tires for some reason.

So I come out to find a "vote against the leftists" flyer on my vehicle and a flat. I pull out my electric tire pump, refill the tire in a few minutes and vote for anyone but them forever. Smart.

Eco-idiots, do something serious, like a nationwide study of what type of vehicle is predominantly found idling with AC running in the supermarket parking lot (sometimes with back hatch open), waiting for their pre-ordered groceries to be shoved in, and how long do they wait. My hypothesis is that it is it is SUVs. If I'm right, use THAT for your public shaming, instead of acting like a bunch of juvenile wanna-be super heroes, who would rather incite anger rather than positive action. (I have my opinion about which is your true motivation, too.)

At least they aren’t slashing the tires as reported earlier and they are hitting hypocritical liberals. On the positive side it is stuff like this that turns liberals into conservatives and it also gives whimpy liberals a course on how to clean out tire valves and use emergency tire inflation devices . This will stop as soon as a couple of these clowns get beat up or shot which will surely happen.

There a a lot of big, black SUV's in Washington, DC just ripe for this kind of protest. There are also a lot at the beach in Delaware most weekends, I understand. And why not target the tires of those carbon spewing private jets at the DC airport? Just trying to help.

But the program has been criticized as inequitable and further stretching the department’s resources at a time when some less wealthy neighborhoods say police are totally unresponsive. President Biden said the United States "is not in a recession," despite Thursday's GDP report, saying it is "no surprise that the economy is slowing down" amid inflation. The U.S. economy shrank in the spring for the second consecutive quarter, meeting the criteria for a recession as record-high inflation and higher interest rates forced consumers and businesses to pull back on spending. Gross domestic product, the broadest measure of goods and services produced across the economy, shrank by 0.9% on an annualized basis in the three-month period from April through June, the Commerce Department said in its first reading of

LOS ANGELES — The newest bridge in Los Angeles, a $588-million architectural marvel with views of the downtown skyline, opened to great fanfare on July 10. It has already been closed, to great dismay, several times since then amid chaos and collisions. The 6th Street Viaduct — which soars over the concrete-lined Los Angeles River to connect downtown to the historic Eastside — quickly became a hotspot for street racing, graffiti and illegal takeovers that draw hundreds of spectators to watch drivers perform dangerous stunts in their vehicles. Social media stunts have abounded as well — in one case, a man sat in a

Just one-fifth of New Hampshire voters want President Joe Biden to seek another term in 2024, and his support within his own party has fallen sharply since last summer, according to a new poll. The government reported Thursday that Gross Domestic Product shrank by 0.9 percent in the April through June period. Economists had expected the economy to grow by 0.3 percent, according to the Wall Street Journal. The economy contracted by 1.6 percent in the second quarter. Many Americans consider two straight quarters of recession to be the marker of a recession. Economists, however, rely on the determination of the National Bureau of Economic Research to say when a recession starts.
