If you want to see grace under pressure, Lee Zeldin is your man.
Making a speech, having somebody attack you with a blade, deflecting said blade, and finishing your speech—that’s about as grace-under-pressure-ish as you can get. It’s exactly what Ernest Hemingway had in mind when he used those words, “grace under pressure,” to describe the essence of courage. Furthermore, if you think that liberal anti-law and anti-order policies are a farce, the attack on Zeldin, a Republican member of Congress now running for governor of New York, is your proof.
As Breitbart News’ John Binder wrote of the Empire State’s turn ‘em loose policies,

As horrific as this whole attack and release of the perp has been; this will awaken even NY voters to contrast of the two. If I lived in NY and the voters choose Hochul, I would be on the first train out of the state. There is becoming a defining line between red & blue states, unfortunately.

Obviously, Zeldin should use this assassination attempt in every campaign attempt. ‘He tried to kill me, and he’s walking free the next day.’

Every time I see his name, I always first read it as Led Zepplin.

New Yorkers, had enough yet? If you vote Kathy back into office, you deserve what you get. And don't move to my state when you have had enough.

Me too, #3. Where's Jimmy Page? Where's Robert Plant? John Paul Jones?
Zeldin managed to grab the would be assassin's wrist and restrain him until security personnel could take away the knife and haul the crazed Democrat away. What bothers me is that the attack, appearing almost to have happened in slow motion, was not made with speed and precision, but if the attacker had been younger and had had training with dagger, Zeldin would have been terrible injured, if not killed. Inside an arm's length distance, a knife is a deadlier weapon than a gun, and isn't limited in capacity the way all guns are. An attacker with a knife can inflict damage with the speed of a Singer sewing machine.
Reportedly the attacker is already free on no bail. Maybe he will try again. Apparently, since he is a Democrat, he is like the Lizard King: He can do anything.

Had to laugh at Sean Hannity yesterday as he went on about the swifter and MUCH more effective moves he would have made against the perp. Did you know he also shops for his own groceries?!

This is so true! “It’s at least possible that the man who attacked Zeldin was heeding, in some way, Hochul’s urging of her supporters to “RSVP” to Zeldin events, which she provocatively characterized as hotbeds of “MAGA extremists.”
If Dominion isn’t taken out of the equation, we will be left with this partisan hack for a long long time.

Lee Zeldin is a man I’ve been watching for some time. Really impressive. He would make a fine governor. WILL make a fine governor?
Did you see the weapon? A cat face key ring fob made out of very rigid plastic. Intended for self-defense (most probably for a woman) Sold by a security company. $9.99.

PS: The sharp pointed “ears” of the cat face could do damage to the soft tissue of the throat, the eyes. the face.

Kathy Hochul helped unleash the blade-wielding lunatic. I wonder if she’ll rethink her policy of encouraging leftist loons to disrupt Republicans.

Sorry, but this whole incident seems strange.
- No police.
- Lax security.
- An attacker that uses a key chain for a weapon and stops to talk to his target first. He will only get one chance.
- The target defends himself rather than putting distance between himself and the attacker expecting his security to intervene. What if the attacker had a knife or a gun?
I will take the incident at face value, but it seems off. Could it have been staged? I have to imagine Zeldin needs publicity to fuel his campaign.

#11, it’s too bad that Zeldin didn’t use his black belt training to rid the world of his attacker.
