WaPo Columnist: Biden’s Covid Diagnosis

Any reasonable person would think that Old Joe Biden’s COVID diagnosis, coming after he was vaccinated, twice boosted, and (almost) always masked, was evidence that the Left’s entire COVID narrative was false. But the concept of disconfirming evidence doesn’t even exist on the Left; no matter what happens, the narrative must be preserved. CNN medical analyst Leana Wen took to the pages of the Washington Post Thursday to shore up several of the Left’s sagging narratives, pretending for the length of an entire column both that Biden has been a successful president and that his COVID agenda has been a resounding success. Wen, the Shanghai-born former Planned Parenthood chief

The summer edition of the January 6th committee hearings ended with a whimper as the political clown show wrapped up until the fall with a Thursday night primetime dud, failing to capture the attention of Americans despite eight public performances along with massive media hype and some are left scratching their heads about why more people aren’t paying attention. One of those is former Illinois congressman and tea party darling Joe Walsh who came out as one of President Donald J. Trump’s harshest GOP critics, denouncing his own party as a “cult” after his miserably failed 2020 White House run. Walsh took to Twitter to lament the fact

Dr. Anthony Fauci is set to earn a pension larger than President Joe Biden’s salary upon his retirement, further rendering him the highest-paid federal employee in American history, according to a Thursday report from Open The Books. The government transparency nonprofit calculated that Fauci, who directs the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and works as Chief Medical Advisor to the president, will receive a $414,667 annual pension payout upon his retirement after Biden’s first term concludes. Because Fauci received a 5% salary increase from 2020 to 2021
The Next Big Hurdle For Gun Controllers 10 replies

Gun control lawmakers and activists now face a big problem as they pass dozens of new laws to substantially limit the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens – this new legislation will almost certainly be deemed unconstitutional. That’s not my opinion. The Supreme Court made it clear in its recent pro–Second Amendment decision. In language that has drawn shockingly little attention, that ruling shows why many proposed gun restrictions infringe on the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Before you can even begin a conversation about whether the proposed laws will have any meaningful effect on mass shootings (they won’t), you need to ask whether the gun restrictions are constitutional.

It's fitting the United Nations was the setting for this spectacle. Only in the headquarters of the world's most useless institution could a semi-disowned member of the British Royal Family deliver a tone-deaf address about abortion rights. Is Prince Harry bored? He must be because of everything to make a stink about—he decides to weigh in on the abortion wars. Meghan Markle's fingerprints are all over this fiasco. Also, International Nelson Mandela Day is probably not the best day to discuss abortion. What the hell is this? Fifty-three years ago this week, America launched Apollo 11, a mission that reached a pinnacle of scientific and national achievement with the successful landing of the Lunar Module Eagle on the Moon. The Apollo 11 Moon landing represented not only a crowning triumph for humanity, but it was one of America’s most noble and awesome moments. It was an accomplishment so monumental that to try and describe it in words almost undersells its importance. It truly was – and still remains – one of the most awe-inspiring milestones in human history. Think about all of this for a moment.

Rep.Jerry Nadler, perhaps best known for appearing to defecate himself in public back in 2020, led a hearing on guns in the House on Wednesday. As RedState reported, David Hogg, who was present during the Parkland, FL, shooting, interrupted the proceedings, being escorted out of the room. But it was what was actually said by the congressional members that interested me the most, and you’ll be less than shocked to learn that abject ignorance was on display. Nadler gave a lesson on the famous M1 Garand that should disqualify him from ever voting on any bill having anything to do with guns ever again. [Video]

When is a recession not a recession? When Presidentish Joe Biden says it ain’t, Jack. Axios reported that White House economic advisors on Thursday moved the goalposts on what a recession is. The traditional definition of a recession is two or more quarters of economic shrinkage, but the Biden administration argues that “by most measures,” according to Axios, “the world’s largest economy remains comfortably in expansion mode.” That’s why the White House “is seeking to preempt heightened recession chatter that would accompany two quarters of shrinking GDP.” By changing the accepted definition. Citing a “holistic look at the data,” the White House Council of Economic Advisors claims

White House Steward Joe Biden's Middle Eastern tour is blessedly over. It was an embarrassment. You can see why his team didn't want to tack this trip onto his last outing to Ukraine a few months ago. He would've probably collapsed from exhaustion. Biden is old, and the liberal media is finally noticing. I don't know what took them so long; The New York Times has been especially brutal on this front. He begged for more oil in Saudi Arabia. He reportedly didn't even bring up the death of Jamal Khashoggi, though he said he did. I still think he forgot. Yet, let's circle back to his trip with Palestinians.
