I have to hand it to the Jan. 6 Committee. They’ve already proven what hacks they are, yet they just keep digging that hole deeper for themselves and in so doing, they keep revealing how empty their case is.
Let’s be frank — the whole point of the Jan. 6 effort is to try to do all they can to take down Donald Trump, because they’re afraid he’ll run again and win in 2024. So, if they wanted to be honest about it, what they’re doing is an effort to “interfere” in the 2024 election ahead of time.

The Associated Press is reporting that there’s a winner in the Maryland Republican gubernatorial primary, to fill the seat of GOP Governor Larry Hogan, who is term-limited.
AP:
Dan Cox, a far-right state legislator endorsed by former President Donald Trump, won the Republican primary for Maryland governor on Tuesday, defeating a moderate rival backed by outgoing Gov. Larry Hogan.
Cox will face the winner of the Democratic primary in the November general election. The top Democratic candidates include former U.S. Labor Secretary and Democratic Party chair Tom Perez, bestselling author Wes Moore and state Comptroller Peter Franchot.

In case you missed it, or as we might say via text or on social media ICYMI, California Governor Gavin Newsom recently tried his hand at damage control. As you may recall, over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, Newsom ran TV ads in Florida bad-mouthing the policies of the Sunshine State’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis. One ad began with, “It’s Independence Day, so let’s talk about what’s going on in America.” From there, the ad went on to promote Newsom’s approach to (chuckle) freedom.
Thanks to a recent admission by Newsom, we now know his alleged reason for running the ads, a marketing campaign

Fomer Kentucky swim star Riley Gaines and tennis legend Martina Navratilova both sounded off Saturday on the University of Pennsylvania’s decision to nominate trans swimmer Lia Thomas for the “NCAA Woman of the Year” prize. RedState’s Becca Lower brought you the story of the nomination last Friday. Radio host and Outkick co-founder Clay Travis summed up his thoughts in a tweet:
Penn nominated transgender swimmer Lia Thomas as their NCAA woman of the year. Hell of an accomplishment to be woman of the year after only being a woman for a couple of years.

The new leadership at CNN came in declaring that they wanted to get away from the biased journalism that has been the hallmark of CNN for the past few years.
But it sounds like Don Lemon is throwing a bit of a fit over the concept of being an objective unbiased journalist — something he doesn’t exactly know how to be. He doesn’t think it’s right to be “fair” to Republicans, because he believes that Republicans are such a danger to society.
Listen to the audacity and the lunacy of his twisted rant:

The term “Mama Bears” has been commonly used to describe the intense protective instincts displayed by mothers objecting to the targeting of their children by leftwing bureaucrats. It became widely used during last year’s Virginia gubernatorial election and the various school board controversies leading up to it.
As education officials attempted to ramp up the indoctrination of Virginia’s children, parents, particularly moms, pushed back fiercely. The term “Mama Bears” soon spread to other parts of the country and the message was clear: Don’t even try to get in between a mother and her kids.
We know that mothers can be deeply protective of their young children,

CNN contributor and Republican consultant Scott Jennings predicts that former President Donald Trump will announce an early Presidential bid to prevent Florida Governor Ron DeSantis from running in 2024.
Jennings observed that given DeSantis’ popularity, specifically with conservatives across the country, he is a Trump-like figure without the baggage. Jennings said:
“I definitely think there are a lot of Republicans out there who voted for Donald Trump twice, maybe gave him money, wanted to see him succeed who know we cannot drag the country and the party through this again in 2024, that he’s the least likely Republican to have a chance to win the White House …

Millions of children around the world grow up fatherless, and in America this phenomenon can be cited as a significant factor in the deterioration of both our culture and our society. Fatherhood, and more importantly fathers themselves, are critical. For those of us who were fortunate to have had a father who helped raise us, most can point to multiple instances of friction and conflict over the years. Fathers, like all human beings, are imperfect and the relationships they have with their children can be complex.
Yet in most cases, particularly when the father is nearing the end of his life, bygones are put aside,

The nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve was created in 1975 after the Arab oil embargo caused fear and angry gas-station lines across the country. The underground reservoirs, believed to be the world’s largest, were intended as an emergency oil-savings account for an actual energy crisis threatening national security.
The SPR was not intended for a political crisis when Joe Biden’s Democrats face midterm election annihilation over inflation and outrageous gasoline prices above $6 a gallon caused by the same president’s ideological war on fossil fuels.
Biden’s announced “plan,” which drew considerable criticism, is to draw down a million barrels a day

There was a time, long ago, when actor Alec Baldwin was actually entertaining. His performance as a main character in the classic 1988 comedy Beetlejuice was solid, though Michael Keaton stole the show in that film. And Baldwin was adequate in the movies Hunt for Red October in 1990 and Glengarry Glen Ross in 1992. He was even decent in the terrific drama The Departed in 2006. Indeed, Baldwin had been blessed with good looks and enough talent to make himself a wealthy man with a robust career.
But as we’ve seen with so many actors – consider Robert DeNiro, Susan Sarandon, and Sean Penn as examples – Baldwin’s onscreen success

The man who masterminded both successful presidential campaigns for former President Obama, strategist David Axelrod, has harsh words for the current Commander-in-Chief saying, “There is this sense that things are kind of out of control and he’s not in command.” Appearing on CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper” Thursday, he added, “so, you know, this is a very, very fraught environment for him right now.”
The first question that pops into my mind is, does this have Obama’s blessing? It’s hard to imagine that Axelrod, now a CNN commentator, would criticize the Democratic Party’s standard-bearer without running it first by his former boss.

Wednesday’s episode of the Laura Ingraham show on Fox News brought you the story of a new Disney+ series called Baymax, where a male-voiced robot at a supermarket asks a surprised female customer what menstrual products she suggests. Several others shoppers join in to help with recommendations, including from what all appearances is a male with a trans flag on his shirt.
Ingraham points out that “Disney+’s only warning for the show is about flashing white sequences and patterns,” but gives no warning about the embedded trans ideology. My kids are older now, but I doubt I’d be thrilled at them viewing this when they were 5 years old.

Can't wait to see the ratings from their primetime, network boondoggle last night. I'll bet they're half of what they were last time.
