Haiti’s capital has been racked by a week of heavy fighting between gangs, with the global medical charity Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) warning that thousands of people were trapped without food or water in one district of Port-au-Prince’s notorious Cité Soleil slum. “We are calling on all belligerents to allow aid to enter Brooklyn and to spare civilians,” said Mumuza Muhindo, the MSF’s head of mission in Haiti, in a statement referring to the contested area within the sprawling Cité Soleil. About 20,000 people have fled their homes since May because of gang warfare, according to the UN.(Snip)The violence is the latest in a litany of woes

Comments:

Guess the Bush/Clinton Haitian Relief Fund (minus the $4 million that paid for Chelsea's lavish celebrity wedding) had only limited effect, and they can't blame White people or systemic racism because Haiti is purely a bLACK-run enterprise. What's next, more foreign aid from USA? More refugees brought to USA to bolster our Diversity with their wonderful culture?

Haiti has always been Africa transplanted to the Americas. The worst of African crime, corruption, filth, disease and violence can be found in Haiti. It has been that way for 200 years. In that time Haiti has been and independent all-Black run country. Black people across the world seem to have difficulty in self government and that includes big American cities. They are now in the process of ruining South Africa. Rhodesia became Zimbabwe which soon became eviserated after white people left.

There’s an area of Port-au-Prince designated as a “slum”? I’ve been there, and from what I observed, there is an area or two as not slims, but the rest of the city is. I’ll never forget the smell everywhere of burning garbage, piles of garbage on main city thoroughfares, and severely emaciated cattle searching for something to eat by those garbage piles. Now, up on the hill above the city proper- where the diplomats and the NGOs operate- it’s an entirely different life.
