Less than a year ago, Joe Biden dismissed inflation with "I don't know anybody" who is "worried about inflation." He declared that "no serious economist" is, dismissing the warnings of heavyweight monetary experts, trade organizations, and even establishment Democrat economists. (Snip for tweet) “There’s nobody suggesting there’s unchecked inflation is on the way. No serious economist,” President Joe Biden said on Monday, in a Breitbart News story dated July 19, 2021. Inflation, which clocked in at 9.1% this past Friday in the CPI, in fact, has been building for months

Comments:

Donald Trump was the rising wages president. Joe Biden is the food bank president. Take a bow, Bidenflation Joe.

May I express my sympathy to families with 3 teenage boys. Tell them to get a job to chip in for groceries.

So, 20-odd percent use food stamps? I would have thought more, BEFORE inflation, etc. Someone tell me how, almost nightly, the local news stations run stories about drive-thru food pantries handing out boxes of stuff to those living "paycheck-to-paycheck" or "on a fixed income"...all driving late model, not inexpensive automobiles. In my own church parking lot, where one of these pops up, one can watch the parade of Lexus, Acura, Chrysler, and Cadillac vehicles being loaded up. We are indeed now the Land of the Free-loaders.

I have been prepping for the past year. Started more serious prepping in March when FJB said we would have food issues. It’s the only true thing he has spoken in the last two years. If you can, start. When I look at my stash knowing what I have been able to accomplish it helps with the stress level. Some in my family think I am nuts. If we totally crash I am prepared. Regardless things are still going to cost more. Inflation is not going anywhere. I have goods that certainly cost much less than going to the grocery today. We have all seen the prices and the bare shelves. The government will not be there to help you.

I worked as an overnight cashier last Christmas at a local grocery store and couldn't believe the number of people paying for stuff with food stamps / EBT (can't have the 'downtrodden' actually write a check - let them use a card). It was a very eye opening experience. Why work when Uncle Sugar is going to give you free money? And we wonder why gas is $5 per gallon.

My church helps a number of single moms, some with kids old enough to work. Too many times, I have dropped off food from our church pantry at a home where the kids don't even help with the housework, let alone living expenses.

Turning Point USA had its summit in Florida last week and, predictably, a lot of manifestly fake Nazis showed up, to imply that American conservatives, who are dedicated to individual liberty, are in fact National Socialists, who are, well, socialists. Only very stupid people would believe that this small group with their fresh-out-of-the-package banners were Nazis—and that brings me to the gals on ABC’s The View. Their credulous opinings were so bad that ABC had to read a statement rejecting their assertions about Turning Point USA. As you may recall, members of The Lincoln Project, an ostensibly “Republican” organization that espouses such values as being anti-Republican, pro-abortion, and

A few days ago, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, speaking to the global elites at some summit in Aspen, surreally declared that the U.S. border "is secure." It was garbage, much as everything else he says, given that more than 3 million illegal aliens with zero vetting have crossed into the U.S. on Joe Biden's watch. just as Rep. Andy Biggs pointed out in his excellent op-ed for Townhall here. Millions of illegal border crossers, with a record 270,000 apprehended in just the last month, is nothing to brag about, and yet that was exactly what Mayorkas was doing, according to former ICE acting director Tom Homan.

So by the laws of the left, it's not only O.K. to hound and harass a Supreme Court justice in his home, the whole neighborhood can get harassed out of house and home, too. That's the reality, now that filthy-mouthed and potentially violent protestors are getting away with such deeds against Justice Brett Kavanaugh and now his neighbors. According to Fox News: Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s neighbors are fed up with the actions of protesters near their homes as some engaging in pro-choice activism have chosen to personally target residents, rather than heed noise complaints.

Barbara Lee of California, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Cori Bush of Missouri, Jan Schakowsky of Illinois, Nydia Velazquez of New York, Madeleine Dean of Pennsylvania, and Andy Levin of Michigan were among the other legislators arrested. The Capitol Police said they had arrested 35 people, including 17 members of Congress, for "crowding, obstructing or incommoding."

She, more than anyone else, knew that Joe was suffering from advancing dementia, yet she signed on to the far left's plan to exile Trump no matter what the cost. Whatever made her and the cabal that rigged the election six ways to Sunday think they could pull it off proves they are all power mad idiots. Joe Biden who campaigned to shut down the fossil fuel industry, and carried through on that promise through his stroke-of-a-pen shutdown of the Keystone XL pipeline and issuance of some 30 regulations to hamper domestic fuel production, has stuck to his policy like a jackass to glue. He's made America energy-dependent again, in a major shift from its previous status as a fully self-sufficient energy exporter. He says it's all about going green. Well, it looks like the public is not buying his 'going green' schtick. Here's a new poll from I&I/TIPP just out, showing that Americans want their fossil fuel economy back on the double.

You take a vaccine known to harm young people, or else. You shower with unreconstructed transgender individuals. In 1870, Harper’s Bazaar published a picture of Cornelia, Mother of the Gracchi, hugging her children as she said to a sneering, jewelry-bedecked Roman matron, “These are my jewels.” (See below.) The picture fascinated me as a child, especially when I learned that the boys grew up to become famous politicians and philanthropists in pre-Christian Rome. (Because this was Rome, neither ended well, but that’s another story.) Reading about the late Ivana Trump’s life, I was reminded of Cornelia’s words and thought that they apply as well to Ivana. I was not an Ivana Trump fan when she was Donald Trump’s wife

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is calling for the end of private car ownership in the name of saving the world from climate change by reducing the need for green tech resources. “We need a clean energy revolution, and we need it now,” the WEF begins its article. According to the WEF, critical metals, such as cobalt, lithium, and nickel — all of which are used in “clean energy technologies” — are in short supply. And while the WEF says recycling old tech that uses these metals could lessen the impact of shortages, it’s simply not enough. “The complication is that we do not currently have enough metals in in circulation

Author Jeffrey Frank has written two biographies of American presidents, one about Harry S. Truman and another about the relationship between Dwight D. Eisenhower and his Vice President Richard Nixon. He draws on that knowledge of history to argue that President Biden is doing a poor job preparing VP Harris to succeed him. Vice President Kamala Harris, who was a first-term senator from California before entering the White House, hasn’t been given the sort of immersive experiences or sustained, high-profile tasks that would deepen and broaden her expertise in ways Americans could see and appreciate. In the modern era, of course, a 68-day trip for a vice president would be laughable.

In addition, Biden could reportedly face charges regarding tax violations and lying about illegally buying a firearm. Breitbart News reported Wednesday: The probe, which has been ongoing for years and debated for months among Justice Department officials, also centers on the Biden family’s foreign business schemes while Joe Biden was vice president.

The leak rocked the federal judiciary, the American political scene, and led to an ugly campaign to intimidate Supreme Court justices, inspiring one assassination plot that thankfully went nowhere. Chief Justice John Roberts promised an investigation to identify the leaker, and the pool of suspects seemed relatively small — the justices themselves and their clerks. Almost three months later, though, the leaker has seemingly escaped detection and punishment. Are they even still investigating the leak? The Associated Press can’t even get an answer to that question from the court:

Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin suggested that abortion bans in some states could actually violate religious beliefs in a column on Sunday. Rubin introduced the subject by referencing a lawsuit brought up by the Jewish Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor against the 15-week abortion ban in Florida. The congregation argued that Jewish law "does not consider life to begin at conception or at 15 weeks" and refusing an abortion could violate their beliefs. Though Rubin questioned whether this would sufficiently infringe on "First Amendment rights and the state constitution’s free-exercise clause," she still considered the issue "important." "In any event, this is an issue the forced-birth crowd should care about."
