Dr. John Bruchalski is an OB/GYN in Fairfax, Virginia, who cares about women and children, which is why, after undergoing a radical transformation and path to conviction, he pivoted from killing babies in the womb to saving them. Ever since he opened his own life-affirming practice more than 25 years ago, Bruchalski has saved the lives of hundreds of them. (snip) The real turning point in his decision to become a pro-life doctor, however, came after one of his colleagues (snip) gently but bluntly pointed out that he was treating unborn babies like tumors.

Scientific fact. At the moment of conception, the DNA already exists. A distinct DNA for each baby. No other DNA exists that matches any other. Because a human being has been formed. LIFE and growth is there. To stop the growth is killing life.

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita said Wednesday that his office is investigating abortion provider Dr. Caitlin Bernard, who told the Indianapolis Star earlier this month that she treated a 10-year-old girl in Indiana because the child was unable to receive an abortion in Ohio. "We’re gathering the information, we’re gathering the evidence as we speak, and we’re going to fight this to the end, including looking at her licensure, if she failed to report in Indiana. It's a crime to not report." Rokita told Fox News.

You’ll need X-ray vision to see the new Vincent van Gogh. Art curators at the National Galleries of Scotland found a self-portrait of the famous artist that had been hidden for centuries, according to Storyful. (snip) The self-portrait shows van Gogh, who cut off his left ear in 1888, in a brimmed hat with his ear still intact — a clue this may have been created in his early days. The portrait was found while using an X--ray to perform an inspection on Van Gogh’s “Head of a Peasant Woman” for the Edinburgh gallery’s summer exhibition, entitled “A Taste for Impressionism.”

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon is continuing his one-man assault on the city, and according to our sources, he has now decided that victims and families of victims of violent crimes should no longer be notified when the convict comes up for parole. They should just read it in the newspaper like everyone else. (snip) Former prosecutor and child advocate Kathleen Cady responded to Debbault: Gascon is violating the California Constitution again. Victims have an absolute right to be notified of parole hearings (Cal Constitution Art I, Section 28((b)(15)).

Recently, I sat in my airplane seat before takeoff and watched a parade of the obese squeeze down the aisle. Many seemed barely able to shuffle through the narrow space; how they would maneuver their bodies into the 18”-wide seats that awaited them was another mystery. Never was it more evident to me how unhealthy our society has become than witnessing that performance. I estimated that at least half the passengers on the airplane appeared sufficiently overweight to be clinically obese. How did this happen? “Something to drink, sir?” asked the polite flight attendant as she passed my row. She placed the famous Southwest snack mix package

Republicans Are Favored to Win the Senate 24 replies

Recently there has been a spate of stories about Republicans’ difficulties in taking over the Senate. These analyses typically focus on candidates’ poor polling numbers in key states and the weakness of the Republican recruiting class. These aren’t absurd analyses; I’ve referred to the battle between the overall electoral environment and Republican candidate quality as “the irresistible force versus the immovable object” in previous columns. Had the Republican Party fielded its A-team in states like Georgia, Pennsylvania and Arizona, we probably would not be talking about Democrats even having a shot at retaining the Senate. At the same time, we shouldn’t get carried away.
