No, that headline isn’t satire. Jill Biden did actually compare Hispanics to “breakfast tacos” on Monday while speaking in San Antonio. She also apparently can’t pronounce the word “bodega,” instead going with “bo-gah-da.” Was she trying to cop a faux-Spanish pronunciation to up her street cred? The First Lady has a history of such, including her infamous “si-se-podway” gaffe during the 2020 campaign. Ivana Trump, the Czech American ex-wife of former President Donald Trump and mother of Ivanka, Eric and Don Jr., died Thursday. She was 73.
She was found dead at her home at 10 east 64th street in Manhattan at 12:40 p.m., police sources told The Post. The FDNY said she suffered cardiac arrest and was dead by the time paramedics had arrived.
“Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend,” Eric Trump said in a statement announcing her death. “She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren.”
About 4,000 beagles will be in need of new homes as rescuers remove them from a Virginia breeding facility that has been accused of neglecting and mistreating the dogs.
The Department of Justice and the Humane Society of the United States are in the process of rescuing the pups from the Envigo breeding and research facility in Cumberland after a federal judge approved their request to remove the animals.
The rescuers have about 60 days to get the beagles out of the facility, provide any necessary medical care like vaccinations and spay and neuter surgeries and find them new homes.

On July 1, 2020, Kelly Titchenell was rushing to the home of her 54-year-old mother Diania Kronk in Sycamore, PA, a town more than 50 miles south of Pittsburgh, while pleading for help from 911 operator, Leon “Lee” Price. According to recording of the call, Price, a 50-year-old resident of Waynesburg, insisted on learning if Kronk was “willing to go” to the hospital before he would agree to send an ambulance, the Associated Press reported.

Democrats are facing their worst political environment in over a decade heading into November’s mid-term elections. Republicans lead the generic ballot and hold a solid structural advantage in competing for the House of Representatives. And despite concerns about candidate quality, the GOP is also favored to take control of the Senate.
The correlation between presidential approval and their party’s mid-term prospects also can’t be ignored. Joe Biden has hit the lowest poll numbers of his term, with a recent Times/Siena poll showing him at just 33 percent approval with only 13 percent believing the country is on the right track.
