After being sworn in as San Francisco's new district attorney at City Hall on Friday afternoon, Brooke Jenkins —appointed by Mayor London Breed to replace the recalled Chesa Boudin — traveled to her new office building to hold her first meeting with around 25 senior staffers. Multiple people in attendance, who requested anonymity out of fear of retaliation, described the approximately 20-minute meeting as "horrible," "icy," "uncomfortable," and, at times, "insane." It should not be surprising that Jenkins — who left the DA's office in October 2021 to volunteer for the recall campaign — would be met with apprehension by the staffers in

As the article says, almost all of the people she addressed, and who commented about the icy, horrible stuff for this account, were hired by Boudin or his predecessor Gascon. Consider the source. I'd wager ALL of them should be fired.

It would be helpful to know the administrative structure of the DA's office, including lines of authority, how cases are assigned to the Assistant DAs, and who has the authority to offer plea deals. (Most criminal cases never go to trial - 90% plus are plea bargained out.) Depending on the number of pending plea deals offered, it would be a manageable task for the Assistant DAs to review those cases. I doubt the new DA will get much done quickly. But, basking in her negritude, she will prepare herself for higher office, just as the Cackling Canadian did.
