LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively here that he is considering attending the funeral of the assassinated former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and that he is communicating with Abe’s family about the matter.
“We’re going to see how it goes,” Trump said when asked if he would attend Abe’s funeral. “We’re talking to their family. We love the family. His wife is a phenomenal woman. He is so loved in Japan I can imagine that is going to be an incredible celebration of life.

Why wouldn't President Trump attend the funeral? He was our greatest President. He and his wife just have so much class. Country misses them so much!!

If I'm not mistaken, Abe was the first world leader to call and congratulate President Trump after his election.

He iS the leader of the free world, and to the extent Abe was assassinated for his staunch antiGlobalism, it is appropriate. Would this put him in the same frame as Kamala? Obama? Meghan Markle?

Why not? John Kerry pretended he was Sec of State during Trump's term. Besides, Trump probably won't poop himself or shake hands with dead air.

I predict if he goes, the mainstream media will not cover the funeral. There's no way they will show Trump getting a hero's welcome in Japan.

I don't know how Trump does so much. I think he will go, because Trump is a very special person with a kind heart. If he does go, Trump will be the one representing America, not anyone from the Democrats.

President Trump has had a continuing friendship with the late Mr. Abe so I believe he will go if he thinks his presence will be meaningful to Abe’s family. I think other world leaders may pretend condolences but did not like Abe’s Japan First politics or his friendship with Trump.

I would be surprised if Biden sends anyone of consequence. That said I am concerned about PDJT’s traveling to a country where an obviously armed man can get that close to a former prime minister in a public place and assassinate him. Biden would probably be interested in that convenient scenario. Stay home, give a speech in Abe’s honor, send flowers in the correct color. Abe will understand.

Business mind, fearless wit, scathing (if salty) tweets... and class, too.
OTOH, the taxpayer is going to have to spend $10 million to de-bug (organic and electronic), de-louse and fumigate the Executive Residence when the current occupant leaves.
It is worrisome that all of the "Trump-like" foreign leaders are under attack at the same time. Please take care, Mr. President.

I would favor a live video feed. Concern that this may be part of a "one-two" trap that the left, "deep state" and cartels love to set.
Remember Dan Bongino's "rule #1".

Hopefully, at the funeral DJT will be given a seat in the center of the front row.
Whatever underling the Biden administration sends should be placed in the back corner, in a chair shorter than everybody else's.

I suspect President Trump's only hesitation is concern that his presence might become a distraction, but we'll see.....

Pres. Trump is in Alaska and possibly a trip to Japan before the funeral would be appropriate. After all he is more interested in consoling Abe’s wife since they were all friends rather than politicking like Beijing Biden. And getting there before Biden seems fitting! Trump will always be first.
