Who says America can’t find its way to a national consensus? Republicans have considered Joe Biden intellectually bankrupt for decades. According to the latest complaints making their way to Politico, Democrat governors have just figured that out — and now worry that the clock’s about to run out on Biden and their midterm hopes: They’ve prodded officials for more details of how the administration was going to communicate its wins and improve its messaging around the economy. They have also wanted to see a clear demonstration of new actions from the White House. Don’t just tell us what you’ve done, is how a person familiar

Obama got it right: "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f--- things up." Morrissey here writes about incompetence, but the other shoe is the manifest, outrageous corruption among the major Party leaders and especially in the First Family. The slavish media has destroyed itself covering it up. If only some aide would just type "I'm resigning now" into the teleprompter. . . . "And I'm taking Kamala with me" for good measure. . . .

#12, term limits should be an amendment to the constitution. These yahoo's get elected and it's such a cushy job their only goal is to keep getting reelected. And the wealth they amass on their "salaries" is incredible. We need to clean house and institute term limits That would be a start

Let's not forget WILLINGLY and DELIBERATELY foisted on Americans. They should have run screaming from a numbskull like Brandon. Plus, as bad as he was when he was younger, it is clear he was often cognitively incomplete which was likely to, and has gotten worse. Not only is Brandon one of them with their brain dead ideas that fail EVERY TIME but they knowingly did this to America. Many dems voted for Brandon thinking that "no way would the dem party let an incompetent person run for president". Now they know the party betrayed them.

The UNIPARTY didn't need these states/governors for the great heist of the '20 elections. Those electoral votes were in the blue bag anyways. So, these governors weren't sent the memo, left thinking Biden was the One. Now Biden is fulfilling his destiny by 1) Replacing PDT, who had to go, 2) Blocking the most radical goals of the most radical Dems who were taking over the Dem party. The UNIPARTY's problem is that the Dons are getting old and their Capos impatient, especially among the Dems. Pelosi will be gone shortly. Schumer will survive awhile longer. McConnell is good for his term. McCarthy in the foreseeable future, too. That the Dems are looking at Gov. Newsom to pull a Carter or Clinton in '24 is laughable given just his recent trevails - an exodus from California and his "illegal" Montana vacation. Then, there's always Larry Hogan...

#12 - Term limits are in force for the Presidency. How's that been working? It's merely shuffling the furniture. For every Trump you get a Clinton, Dubya, Obama or Biden. And, as seen on TV, a "Trump" will be run out of office one way or another. Competitive congressional seats now commonly cost millions in campaign costs for primary, maybe a runoff, and the general elections. (Cakewalks collect the money to spread it around to other candidates, and to pay "dues" to the various campaign committees.) Few have access to such money. Then to hire a professional staff to competently run and manage a campaign, buy advertising, manage the press, etc. People underestimate what it takes. Expressing good thoughts is not enough.

The American people's trust in news outlets has hit a historic low, according to Gallup’s annual survey on confidence in major U.S. institutions. It's like they've discovered that "straight news" isn't their primary goal. Both newspapers and television news have seen another drop in confidence over the past year, with each losing an average five percent of people who said they had a “great deal” of trust in such institutions. Gallup has been measuring "confidence in institutions" since 1973, and annually since 1993. Television news is now considered the second least-trusted institution in America, after Congress,

Exit polls showed that the Liberal Democratic party (LDP), which Abe led until he resigned in 2020, had secured more than half the 125 seats being contested in the 248-seat upper house. The LDP and its junior coalition partner, Komeito, were projected to win more than 63 seats, according to a Kyodo news agency exit poll. The public broadcaster NHK said the parties would win between 69 and 83 seats. The coalition needed to secure 55 seats to retain their majority in the upper house – the less powerfu

For my money, the Biden administration has been the most incoherent and disjointed of the modern era, and that qualifier is only included due to a lack of recorded detail prior. Press consternation over the “chaos” inside the former Trump administration seems laughably quaint now, as the current White House sets records for staff turnover. No one seems to know what’s going on, and that includes the president himself. Every public appearance just accentuates the dysfunction. Biden and his handlers are constantly reacting. Leadership and forethought are concepts so foreign that they might as well be of alien origin. Even the brightest minds would have a hard time keeping things

The survey also shows that as fewer Americans are ranking religion as "very important," the number of those who believe the Bible came directly from God decreases.
