In February 2021 Republican Representatives Jim Jordan (R-OH), Devin Nunes (R-CA), Rodney Davis (R-IL) and James Comer (R-KY) sent a letter to Speaker Pelosi on her failure to protect the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. The four ranking members asked Speaker Pelosi to explain her decision to: ** Deny national guard support on January 4th ** What conversations did she or her staff give Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving specifit to January 6th? ** What response did you give security officials on January 6th when National Guard support was initially requested?

It would be nice to think that Ms Pelosi will have an opportunity to answer those questions sometime in 2023. But it depends on how "gracious" McCarthy and the Republicans want to be. If it were me, the Dems. would have to live under the yoke of the same rules they've foistered since 2019. At least for one year. You know, secret committees, limited access and powers for the minority party, all minority party committee members must be approved by the Speaker, restrict various minority party members from any committee (Schiff, Swalwell, Omar, Tlaib, and anyone on the J6 witch hunt). It's going to be an interesting balancing act. Republican leaders in the House, assuming a GOP majority in the next House, are going to have to learn how to (1) find out the truth about the misdeeds of the Democrat leadership and deep state machinations and (2) fix the mess that Biden and the Democrats have made in just a year and a half.

If Nancy Pelosi was on the up and up she would have been the first witness to appear before her kangaroo court like January 6th committee, and would tell that committee and the American people of her actions before January 6, on January 6, and after January 6, and would have voluntarily submitted herself to legitimate Republican cross examination. What really makes you wonder is that Pelosi constituted her committee without legitimate Republican members, so that the witnesses who appear before that committee can give fraudulent, or here say testimony without ever facing any cross examination, as occurred during the dark age inquisitions.

I certainly hope we truly find out sometime shortly in January 2023 when the GOP is in control of the House and able to investigate this issue. They should NOT hold back and make sure the public knows what happened, who could have prevented it from happening, in particular. We already have the letter from the DC mayor declining any additional help or assistance that was offered (i.e. National Guard). And, make it very public just like the current TV productions being presented as "hearings". But, only allow one Democrat representative, and let it be Schiff.

The IRS commissioner has asked the Treasury Department's inspector general to immediately review the circumstances surrounding intensive tax audits that targeted ex-FBI Director James Comey and ex-Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, both frequent targets of President Donald Trump's anger. IRS spokesperson Jodie Reynolds said Thursday that IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig had personally reached out to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration. Reynolds said the agency has officially referred the matter to the inspector general. (Photos) But Reynolds insisted it is 'ludicrous and untrue to suggest that senior IRS officials somehow targeted specific individuals for National Research Program audits.' The probe comes a day after The New York Times reported

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) may not survive the Republican August 16 primary, CNN reported on Thursday. While Cheney “has become an unexpected hero for Democrats” and the media, CNN’s Harry Enten analyzed, CNN readers “shouldn’t mistake adoring press coverage and bipartisan bona fides for popularity in the place where popularity matters most for Cheney: Wyoming.” Citing polling that shows Cheney the least popular member of Congress in 2021, Enten acknowledged only 17 percent of Republicans nationwide approved of Cheney’s alliance with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) January 6 committee. Sixty-one percent disapproved. More specifically, the article also noted Cheney’s opponent, Trump-endorsed Harriet Hageman, is leading Cheney

“Help wanted” and “Now hiring” signs are everywhere. Flights, construction projects, and healthcare services are delayed – or unavailable – due to labor shortages. Hourly and monthly wages spiral. There is a growing disequilibrium between the number of available jobs and the declining pool of workers needed to fill them. What is going on? During the nearly two-year-long COVID-19 shutdown and economic downturn, firms cut costs by laying off millions of employees. As a result, some in their early- or mid-60s simply retired early and never came back to work.

In the 2020 election, 81,286,365 people voted for Joe Biden, 74,225,845 for President Donald Trump. If you’re not a math whiz, that 51.26% of the vote for now-President Biden, 46.80 for former President Trump. So that makes a new poll all the more ominous for Biden, who has seen his approval rating plummet in nearly every poll as he struggles to handle domestic and international crises. A Gallup poll released on Tuesday finds Americans’ confidence in “the presidency” as an institution has dropped to 23% from 38% in 2021— a record low since the survey began in 1973.

For decades, conservatives ceded the cultural battlefield to the likes of John McCain, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, and John Boehner. We were told, that if we wanted to win, to shut up on social issues such as abortion, religious freedom, immigration, gay marriage, gun rights, etc. – because to argue for life (and against abortion), for heterosexual marriage, for public prayer, for school choice, for secure borders, or for any other rights was far too contentious. Doing so would anger half the electorate. Instead, our faux leaders said we must focus only on taxes, balanced budgets, and other fiscal issues.

For many readers, the above title will conjure up memories of the 2008 housing crash caused by the proliferation of subprime mortgages and the subsequent tsunami of defaults. But a better corollary for the coming Biden bust is the Carter crash that occurred three decades earlier. During the final two years of Carter’s term, sales of existing and new homes collapsed because the Fed was forced to raise interest rates sharply to get double-digit inflation under control. This, in turn, produced double-digit mortgage rates that priced millions of potential buyers out of the market.
