The number of red flags that have been raised about Robert Crimo III is staggering. Again, this was another preventable tragedy. Crimo went to a rooftop and opened fire on a crowd in Highland Park, Illinois who were there attending an Independence Day event. Seven people were killed with at least another 45 wounded. Crimo was apprehended by police Monday evening, but as with other mass shooters—the number of red flags could stuff the trunk of a car. He was a prolific social media user with numerous posts featuring violent content. He was known to law enforcement. His mental health issues date back as far as middle school.

Maybe he identified as a “normal” person and his parents had to respect that out of fear of the transgender hate vigilantes.
But seriously, when insane issues are the hallmark of public discourse how can any insane activity be surprising?

What should be done when a "patriot" goes on social media to tout her preparedness and willingness to take on the government with her pictured arsenal? Should every "patriot" spouting that the tree of liberty needs occasional watering with the blood of tyrants be "red flagged" by police surveilling these accounts? Suppose these well-armed and extreme "patriots" post about "removing" leftist politicians, from Biden to Pelosi to AOC and others? Is that a "red flag" threat? If you want to see how it could work in America, look to the DC slammer full of J6 "insurrectionists" held without bail for misdemeanors as "violent" people. The Nazis and commies used such to great effect.

All the laws are meaningless if not enforced. And social media is a major contributor to these miscreants.

So, where were the FBI, ATF and DOJ in all this? Why is it that many of these shooters are "know" to the police/FBI etc. Guess the FBI is too busy focusing on patriots in the military, mom and pop attendees at the Jan 6 event etc to be bothered by people "known" to them with antifa or BLM associations.

Been in an "in patient mental hospital" and yet he was cleared to buy guns.
The hard reality is that all these "background checks" are entirely, completely, totally useless. We'd have exactly the same crime if we went back to the old system of mail order guns like when I was a teen. NONE of their "gun control" ever keeps the dangerous people from getting what they want. It only inconveniences honest citizens. Until 1968 guns were sold like hammers and screwdrivers. And now with all the paperwork, background checks and other nonsense.....we have MUCH MORE violent crime than we did when there were no controls at all.

That says it all. This is Illinois, Trump and his supporters had NOTHING to do with this heinous crime.

I think that the "legally purchased" thing may prove to be BS. It's been a while but I'm pretty sure you have to attest to not having mental health issues to get the FOID card. I'm thinking he had to lie to get it. If they actually were legally purchased they were not legally possessed since he had them in an area with a ban. They want us to accept more laws and don't want to admit those in place are ignored by those with malice just as it will be for any new ones.

Yes he was known by police AND the FBI. A perfect candidate for another FBI Red Flag operation. Seems every time gun control reaches a fevered pitch by the Dems, Mass shooting START occurring. They don't happen first, they happen AFTER the Dems start screaming for gun control. Dems will murder as many as it takes to retain and gain power, AKA Covid.

I must say that as a one of three children raised by a widow mother on a very limited income and with a lot of free time as latch key kids. All three of us turned out very well. Gotta say - so much for the adage that children need both parents - more like children need a parent or parents who give a you-know-what.

I have the onerous habit of judging people by their appearance. Unpopular and unfair as it may be, it has stood me well through life. Just look at this "guy". He's got nutcase written all over him. Reminds me of the connecticut and colorado shooters. I think they grow up losers because their peers recognize they are losers and treat them accordingly. My theory also applies to politicians-pelosi, nadler, schiff , the gap-toothed slug from georgia et. al. Its my theory and I'm sticking to it. As an aside, Its time to hold stupid parents accountable.

As a teacher, I can tell you that the number of these boys is multiplying. I see multiples of these boys each day. They have common behavior patterns that are never, ever addressed. Parents? Please! That's the first stop on the crazy train that is these boy's lives. Almost all of them have no father in the home, and, of course, their mother or grandmother or great-grandmother "don't know what to do."
We are breeding these monsters... and it really isn't their fault.

To my knowledge, the method of payment used to purchase firearms by the Uvalde shooter was not disclosed. The same is true of this shooter. Neither had a steady, well paying job. So, a credit card is the most likely way these killers paid for their guns. Biden has a record of serving credit card companies, so his administration has an interest in suppressing bad recog for credit card companies.

"After he was apprehended, officers found another rifle in the vehicle, Covelli said, which also appeared to have been legally purchased by Crimo. Three other weapons that were legally purchased were found in his Highwood home."
I'm not a biologist, but that sounds like this guy had a minimum of 5 legally purchased weapons, looked like a cadaver, history of mental illness, violence, and strange behavior, and according to the uncle he lived with, "everything was fine, totally normal kid, nobody suspected anything. We're all shocked."

He had mental problems going way back. So why did Daddy jerk help him buying guns??? Hold the father accountable as well, he aided and abetted!
