'But Biden's almost 80!': Buttigieg says

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said Tuesday he had no intention of raising the retirement age for pilots after a holiday weekend of flight cancellations amid airline staffing shortages. The industry increased the age limit 15 years ago for commercial pilots to 65 years as they moved to head off forecasts of shortages. But the pandemic triggered a wave of early retirements and airlines are once again complaining of shortages. Buttigieg said he would not raise the retirement age, even though Americans are living and working longer - like his 79-year-old boss Joe Biden.

How many airline pilots took early retirement because they chose not to take the Kung Flu vaccine? How many airline pilots were suspended for not taking the Kung Flu vaccine? How many airline pilots were fired for not taking the Kung Flu vaccine?

Hiring back all the pilots who were fired for not getting the COVID shots will not only solve the pilot shortage but also assure that there will be adequate replacements for all the vaccinated pilots who start getting myocarditis and the next wave of variants...

They were warned that their policies would cause pilot shortages. Many took early retirement, because they did not want to wear surgical masks all day or comply with the Biteme administration's vaccine mandate. Then, as usual, the administration ignored the problem they caused until it became a crisis. Buttigig is the usual incompetent bungling administration official who was appointed in order to check a block as representative of a protected minority group.

#6 You could add: How many died because they took the Kung Flu vaccine. I remember reading that one airline would not let pilots who had been vaxxed fly because of the heart issues it caused.

Bernie the 'socialist' moron is all in for the equal distribution of poverty and misery. His mantra of 'get the millionairs and billionairs' plays well in lo-fo circles but doesn't identify and resolve the root causes of problems. For someone who has never held a real job or signed an employees paycheck, he sure has lots of whack-a-mole stupid ideas. Mayor Pete is just a younger (and queerer) version, following in Bernies footsteps.

Systemic age discrimination. Pilots union could fight this. But, the longer a person lives, the more a person witnesses with their own eyes, the longer a person has to think for themselves... the more conservative they vote. The pilot's unions want those young pilots to vote and the experienced pilots to leave.

Actually, saying bidet is almost 80 is a strong argument for NOT raising the retirement age for pilots. Think about it, would you feel safe getting on a plane with someone like bidet at the wheel??? That's like something out of those old 'Airplane" movies with Leslie Nielsen.

For many readers, the above title will conjure up memories of the 2008 housing crash caused by the proliferation of subprime mortgages and the subsequent tsunami of defaults. But a better corollary for the coming Biden bust is the Carter crash that occurred three decades earlier. During the final two years of Carter’s term, sales of existing and new homes collapsed because the Fed was forced to raise interest rates sharply to get double-digit inflation under control. This, in turn, produced double-digit mortgage rates that priced millions of potential buyers out of the market.
