The former Senate sergeant-at-arms who oversaw security during last year’s Capitol insurrection has died — one day before Tuesday’s hearing to present new evidence.
Michael Stenger, who resigned a day after pro-Trump rioters easily stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, died Monday morning, Politico reported.
The Marine Corps veteran, 71, spent 35 years in the Secret Service before joining the Senate sergeant-at-arms team in 2011. He was later appointed to the post in 2018. Former colleagues were notified of his death Monday afternoon, Politico reported.

Well the post certainly hams it up on the “insurrection” angle. Perhaps his poor health precipitated the unscheduled inquisition session. Perhaps huncher can testify.

The show trial has gone on for over a year, and should have had his hearing MONTHS ago. The deliberate dragging of this charade through the entire campaign was politically motivated, just like the four-year impeachmennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnt fraud. Given how unnecessarily extended the process has been it seems likely that Stenger's testimony would have been damaging to the Soviet, I mean Democrat, case.

He, no doubt, committed suicide, ala Vince Foster - TWO shots to the head with his hands bound.

I've said this before. I'm not a conspiracy theorist and like Ketanji Brown(hyphen)Jackson I'm not a biologist. However, this seems just a little bit convenient to me. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think so.

Death seems to follow the crooked Clinton political crowd...I'm waiting for epstein's girlfriend to commit suicide in jail... now that she's in solitary confinement ...just like her boss...epstein....I have no sympathy for her...she abused hundreds of young girls...may God have mercy on her soul...

FTA:
"A Senate Rules Committee report cited Sund and Stenger’s inaction in the Capitol violence, finding that Sund never submitted a formal request to Capitol Police for National Guard support ahead of Jan. 6. Instead, Sund had “informal conversations” with Stenger on the possible need for National Guard troops."
This claim seems to dismiss details that are important to better understanding how events unfolded prior to, and on January 6, 2021. Sund spoke with both Sergeants at Arms, not just Mr. Stenger. In his letter to Congressional Leaders dated Feb.1, 2021, Sund indicates he had no authority to make any such "formal request" without an Emergency Declaration by the Capitol Police Board.
"On Monday, January 4, I approached the two Sergeants at Arms to request the assistance
of the National Guard, as I had no authority to do so without an Emergency Declaration by the
Capitol Police Board (CPB). My regular interactions with the CPB, outside of our monthly
meetings regarding law enforcement matters, were conducted with the House and Senate Sergeant
at Arms, the two members of the CPB who have law enforcement experience. I first spoke with
the House Sergeant at Arms to request the National Guard. Mr. Irving stated that he was concerned
about the “optics” and didn’t feel that the intelligence supported it. He referred me to the Senate
Sergeant at Arms (who is currently the Chair of the CPB) to get his thoughts on the request. I then
spoke to Mr. Stenger and again requested the National Guard. Instead of approving the use of the
National Guard, however, Mr. Stenger suggested I ask them how quickly we could get support if
needed and to “lean forward” in case we had to request assistance on January 6."
Mr. Sund believes the blame was placed on the US Capitol Police (and upon him) without proper consideration of the impact of incomplete intelligence assessments provided prior to and on January 6, his repeatedly denied requests for National Guard deployment, and the long delay in approval for National Guard assistance.
The letter, linked below, is eight pages of details that may surprise Americans who have only heard one side of the story. I would add that I find it preposterous that the Senate Rules Committee didn't know that Sund had no authority to call in the National Guard without a formal Emergency Declaration by the CPB. Link to Sund's letter is below.
