Hillary Clinton said in a Tuesday morning interview that for as long as she has known Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, he has been filled with 'resentment' and 'anger' as she insisted the Roe v. Wade ruling will result in women dying. 'I went to law school with [Justice Thomas],' Clinton told CBS Mornings in a pre-recorded interview. 'He's been a person of grievance for as long as I've known him — resentment, grievance, anger.'

Comments:

Classic projection. She's describing herself, not Clarence Thomas.

The Prince of Wales drove himself to Crathie Kirk this morning, with no sign of the Queen, who is normally a regular attendee and has been dealing with mobility issues in recent months. It comes as the royal family, many of whom have spent the last few weeks in Balmoral during the summer break with Her Majesty, prepare for more bombshells following the arrival of the Sussexes in the UK.

In the United States, there have always been two realities with regards to the aboveground political culture. One reality engages in politics as it is presented in the media and the election process. The other reality, smaller and operating off the grid, looks at conventional politics as a farce or a fraud. The former group is larger and gets all of the attention, but the latter group seems to be on the upswing. For the most part, the American political system is a drama, a theater staged by the political class to keep people engaged.

Americans are no strangers to “times that try men’s souls,” to borrow a phrase from Thomas Paine. By mid-1945, the United States had been at war for three-and-a-half years, enduring the draft, separation from loved ones, mounting numbers of casualties, and rationing, with no end in sight. Many Americans were weary, not unlike our feelings now, after two-and-a-half years of privations and anguish related to the COVID-19 pandemic. That sense of anxiety and the widespread desire to return to normality brought to mind how World War II was suddenly – and to many, unexpectedly – resolved.

In the wake of these measures, Germany fears widespread disruption of its economy and industrial production.

The poll also shows that while 71% of Democrats would vote to reelect the president, 19% would not, along with 91% of Republicans and 54% of independents.

Talk of a second civil war among liberal journalists, television personalities and lawmakers has become increasingly commonplace following the raid on former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home on Aug. 8, after which liberal pundits repeatedly claimed on-air that evolving distrust for the U.S. government among Trump supporters would lead to escalated political violence.
