Paris - France is working on contingency plans for cuts to Russian gas flows as top bosses at energy companies urge individuals and businesses to reduce power use.
France is less reliant than some of its neighbours on gas imports from Russia, which account for about 17% of its gas consumption.
But concerns about supply from Russia come as France grapples with already limited electricity generation due to unexpected maintenance at its aging nuclear reactors, prompting concern over winter shortages. European Union leaders last week agreed to boost preparations for further cuts in Russian gas, accusing Moscow of "weaponising" energy via a supply squeeze which Germany warned could partly shut its industry.

Police near San Antonio report that 47 migrants are dead and at least 18 others were transported to local hospitals after being locked inside a tractor-trailer. Officials found the tractor-trailer on the southwest side of San Antonio on a back road near Interstate 35. Police say the driver may have been involved in a human smuggling incident.
A senior law enforcement source on the scene told Breitbart Texas that 47 migrants were declared dead on the scene or at area hospitals and at least 18 others were taken to area hospitals. A source on the scene says they have a person of interest in custody.

A sea of mediocrity is currently flowing in Germany as the G7 leaders, including Joe Biden, have come together to once again virtue signal climate change and abortion, while generally making your life worse. As usual, there will be lots of tone-deaf pictures and statements, while zero real-world problems are solved. That’s the G7 in a nutshell.
But even among the Eurotrash that makes up most of the nations present, there’s only so much they can take in terms of the massive oil crunch hitting the globe. On that topic, France’s Emmanuel Macron decided to drop some truth on Biden about his insane energy policies.

CNN’s Jake Tapper sat down with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson at the G-7 meeting in Germany. The wild-haired world leader, who just survived a vote of no confidence at home, rebutted Tapper’s repeated attempts to lead him into expressing concern about democracy in America. In fact, Johnson conveyed great confidence in America and our nation’s global impact.
In his most serious voice, Tapper set up his question. “We’re here at the G-7, a gathering of the world’s leading democracies. When I talk to friends in Canada, the U.K., Australia, and elsewhere, people express concern about the United States.” Johnson roughed up his hair and squinted, “About the United States? Why?”

I wrote last week about Hunter Biden’s meeting with at least four Russian oligarchs aligned with Vladimir Putin back when his father Joe was vice president. There have been a lot of Russian connections with Hunter and Joe over the years, including Hunter telling an alleged prostitute that Russians might have blackmail on him. Then the Washington Examiner broke a story, on which we reported, about how Joe Biden gave Hunter $100,000 after which Hunter spent $30,000 on Russian escorts.
Hunter Biden spent over $30,000 on escorts, many of whom were linked to “.ru” Russian email addresses and worked with an “exclusive model agency” called UberGFE during a 3 1/2 month period between November 2018 and

No one did more to ensure that the moral and legal atrocity called Roe v. Wade was overturned than Democrats. Let’s count the ways, shall we…
Harry Reid
How do we even begin to thank the late Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) for ending the filibuster? Harry ended the filibuster in 2013 so Barry Obama could fill the courts with fascist radicals. This act ensured then-President Trump could get his trifecta of perfect Supreme Court justices over the finish line. If Reid had not killed the filibuster, at least two of those three (Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett) would have been non-starters, and Roe v. Wade would still be the law of the land.

The New York Supreme Court on Monday struck down a recently passed law that allows non-citizens to vote in local elections.
The New York City council passed a bill in December allowing legal residents, including those with green cards to vote in local elections beginning in 2023. The “Our City, Our Vote” bill became law in January.
The law, which would’ve allowed an estimated 800,000 adults to vote, was brought to the Supreme Court after Republican lawmakers filed a suit in the Staten Island Supreme Court.

Bellinzona, Switzerland, - Credit Suisse (CSGN.S) was convicted by Switzerland's Federal Criminal Court of failing to prevent money-laundering in the country's first criminal trial of one of its major banks. read more
A former employee was found guilty of money-laundering in the trial, which included testimony on murders and cash stuffed into suitcases and is seen as a test case for prosecutors taking a tougher line against the country's banks. It marks another headache for Switzerland's second-biggest bank, which has been reeling from billions in losses racked up via risk-management and compliance blunders. Both Credit Suisse and the former employee had denied wrongdoing.
Credit Suisse said it would appeal against the conviction.

On Friday, the Supreme Court handed down its biggest decision in decades when it ruled in Dobbs v. Jacksons Women’s Health that there was no constitutional right to an abortion. The resulting backlash from the media and the Democrats, as well as violent and chaotic protests, was to be expected. But amid all the anger and fervor in the protests, the Democrats have let it slip that this is not just about Roe v. Wade and the right to their most holiest of sacraments, abortion.
With Dobbs the Court held that “The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion; Roe and Casey are overruled; and the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives.

Woke corporations wasted no time in the aftermath of the Roe v. Wade overturn, with many of them quickly issuing statements describing their outrage and promising to pay for employees to travel to other states to get abortions should their own state prohibit them. The Walt Disney Co, which can’t seem to get out of its own way recently, is one of those companies. A Florida Disney employee is speaking out, though, telling the NY Post on Saturday that his company’s stance will be “be bad for business” and will “alienate” customers. Disney released a memo in the aftermath of the SCOTUS ruling which stated:
…we have processes in place so that an employee who may

While pro-life individuals are celebrating a massive victory following the Supreme Court’s decision to overrule Roe v. Wade, Democrats have spent the last several days coping and seething.
One of the ways the radical left has attempted to self-medicate is by telling themselves that the abortion issue will somehow be an electoral winner in November. As the story goes, masses of voters will suddenly change sides, ignoring everything actually affecting their lives, in order to vote for Joe Biden’s party.
Sunday’s polling drop paints a different picture, though. Naturally, the president’s approval remains in the dumps. He hit a new high in disapproval in the CBS News survey.

Is Joe Biden admitting that he knows the Democrats are going to get shellacked in the midterms and he’s hedging his bets?
It just might be, given what White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Saturday. When Joe Biden was in the Senate, he was a strong defender of the filibuster. But over the past couple of years, as the Democrats have been screaming their heads off to get rid of the filibuster–to be able to deal with the bare majority that they have in the Senate. Biden has been cagey in the past on Court-packing and the filibuster. He wasn’t for sharing his position. Then, in January,
