Trump says ‘go to the reporter’ to
find source of SCOTUS leak

Original Article

Former President Trump suggested the Supreme Court look to the journalists at Politico who broke the bombshell story last month that a draft opinion penned by Justice Samuel Alito would overturn Roe v. Wade, to find who leaked the document. The story, written by reporters Josh Gerstein and Alexander Ward, hinged on a leaked draft ruling from the court that sent shockwaves across the political and media landscape. The draft outlined the conservative majority’s decision to overturn Roe, a landmark case that ruled abortion was constitutional.

hey, the bidet says there are first amendment limits - you can't yell "Fire!" in a crowded theater. What if there is a fire? Besides, you can - but there may be consequences. If there are going to be severe limits on my 2nd, 4th and other amendment rights I have no objection to the press being liable for their lies, libel, slander and protecting criminals.

I think the Supremes feel it would be unseemly for the FBI and the Just-Us Department to push this to the point of locking up a Politico reporter for contempt of court until he/she reveals identity of the leaker.

The leaker is Roberts or Sotomayor. No justice in the 5-member majority would leak the draft opinion. Bryer is a distinguished justice with a great reputation to protect. He would never think of dishonoring the court. Kagan is an ethical individual. No clerk would risk his or her future by leaking the draft. All clerks have a promising career to look forward to. No good faith investigation is going on because the leaker is Sotomayor or Roberts, and in either case. Roberts knows. The longer this drags out the more I suspect Roberts. The White House was tipped off that Roberts switched his vote in the Obamacare case, probably when he told his blackmailer he would switch. It's probable that the leak of the Dobbs draft opinion was Robert's 2nd leak. He skated regarding the Obamacare leak and concluded a 2nd leak posed little risk to himself, especially as he effectively controls the alleged investigation. As the Church Lady said, "Well, isn't that special?"

I just do not believe the leak came from Robert's offices. He was too angry about it having happened under his watch. My guess is one of the liberal lady justices doing it. I will be very surprised if this is Roberts. He loves his cushy position too much to rock the boat like this. He doesn't like being embarrassed by underlings.

My theory: They know who did it, but whoever it is (clerk or justice) is from a "marginalized group" to whom the rules that govern the rest of us don't apply. So nothing will be done.

The couple purchased the property with six-bedrooms and eight-and-a-half bathrooms in the private and guarded Billionaire Bunker in April 2021. Construction has been underway since at least February and has made major progress. New photos show the construction process, revealing multiple structures on the waterfront lot, including a two-story structure main house and what looks to be a one-story back house. The two structures that sit parallel to each other are separated by an empty pool in the backyard that is waiting to be finished.

The Senate on Thursday night passed gun control legislation, clearing the way for final congressional approval of what will be the most significant firearms legislation in decades. The 65-33 vote came after a month of negotiations that eventually found a compromise on one of the country's most contentious political issues. Yet the nation's divisions were on clear display on a day when the Supreme Court expanded gun rights by ruling Americans have a constitutional right to carry handguns in public for self-defense. The legislation provides about $15 billion in funding to help states implement red-flag laws to keep guns from high-risk owners and expand background checks.

With the Biden administration we are truly in a wilderness of curved mirrors, where people don’t trust what they see and what government says. The people behind Joe Biden don’t even try to hide the fact that their agenda constitutes what many feel is nothing short of betrayal -- a government against the people. We are passing through a time when the elite of our society call right, wrong and wrong, right, and when evil is called good and good is called evil. Before we consider what can be done, let’s take a walk through the current upside-down priorities of the various agencies of our government:

Tuesday’s Supreme Court decision in Carson v. Makin highlights America’s complicated religious history. The nation’s highest court correctly held that Maine violated the US Constitution’s First Amendment by excluding religious schools from a tuition assistance program that allows parents to use vouchers to send their children to public or private schools — though three justices disagreed because they misread that history. Chief Justice John Roberts’ opinion — joined by the five other conservative justices — emphasized the free-exercise clause, which “Maine’s ‘nonsectarian’ requirement for its otherwise generally available tuition assistance payments violates,” he wrote.

Despite a draft opinion indicating the Supreme Court would overturn Roe v. Wade in its decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the court has yet to issue an opinion in the case, which some legal experts argue is a means to maintain engagement with the public. Though the court heard arguments on Dobbs in December and the draft opinion leaked in May, the court has still not issued an opinion. Jonathan Turley, an attorney and professor at George Washington University Law School, argued the Supreme Court was attempting to drum up suspense.
