After facing swift and intense backlash from conservatives and Republican lawmakers, Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) claimed that he was joking about striking a deal on amnesty after negotiating a deal on gun control. As the Senate voted to advance gun legislation on Tuesday night, which arose from Cornyn’s negotiations with Democrats, Cornyn told Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA), “First guns, now it’s immigration.” In response to Cornyn’s comment, Sinema said, “That’s right, we’re going to do it.” The comment drew swift backlash from former Trump administration officials such as Andrew Surabian, House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA), and House Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman Jim Banks (IN).

Cornyn is joking about joking before. Oh, how I wish we could get somebody to replace Cornyn. Everybody that enters the primary against him has been worst, as unbelievable as that is. We have a Democrat majority of 75% against a small 25% of Congress that does not want to destroy the country.

Attention Cornynpop! The American people are not looking for jokers like you and your 14 friends. We demand adult serious leadership NOW! You want to be funny, resign and go to a comedy club. Of course Congress is the biggest comedy show on Earth right now!

"IT" hit the fan! I guess he's not retiring, after all. He should go. I, for one, having been around for many, many, many years, am fed up with these guys who say what we want to hear, and once elected to office do what they really believe, which is almost always the opposite of the wishes of the people who voted for them. Do Texans really want the gun control in this bill? I guess the next election will provide the answer. The problem is not guns but the environment the thugs and murderers grow up in, along with the violent video games they play and God knows what else in their un-Christian lives.

After claiming “I will not under any circumstance support new restrictions for law-abiding gun owners,” he supported the leftist gun control bill, and hearing the "No red flags laws" chants from the crowd at the TEXAS REPUBLICAN CONVENTION, he was overheard to say, “I’ve never given in to mobs and I’m not starting today.” He's not up for reelection until 2026, but I sure hope this elitist is voted out then.

Cornyn is becoming as shaky as Dementia Joe. I think his "sell by" date is approaching with Texas voters. First gun control, now amnesty! Is he rooming with Ms. Lindsay Grahmnesty?

SCornyn hasn't been somebody tom vote for in a long time. We just have to vote against the ones that are even worse. His nose is so high in the air that he has to breathe ozone. Now he is still in for over 4 more years. SCornyn is one of those "big-tent" Republicans who likes that idea because he will never be faithful to anyone but his owner, the Chamber of Commerce. They can pay much better than we can.

My Senator from Indiana voted for this piece of crap too. I would like to see this POS voted out also. Problem is that he was not properly contested in the primary and he will be on the ballot again. It's either this POS or the Democrat POS. This is what we have with the Republican Party!!

Hope he decides to retire in 24. If not there are a lot of real Conservatives in Texas who could easily beat him in a primary.

As hard as Romney has tried to win the banner, John Cornyn has quietly usurped the roll of the new "backstabber John McCain" in the current Republi-Can't Party!!!!!!
As a Texan, I guarantee you that I will support the most promising Republican that primaries Cornyn with my money, volunteer time, and room for yard signs!!!!!!! I will even go door to door for Cornyn's primary challenger, and I have never done that before. I never dreamed that there would be a Texas Republican that I despised as much as I despise and literally hate John Cornyn at this moment!!!!!!

Is there anything less amusing than a lying, entrenched Republican pustule like this fine example? The Democrats at least are upfront about what they want.
