President Joe Biden ridiculed oil company CEOs on Tuesday for criticizing his energy policies as gas prices hit record highs in the United States. In a letter to the president on Tuesday, Chevron CEO Mike Wirth criticized Biden and his administration for being more willing to “criticize, and at times vilify, our industry.” “These actions are not beneficial to meeting the challenges we face and are not what the American people deserve,” Wirth wrote. When asked to respond to the letter, Biden mocked oil CEOs for criticizing him after he said he was considering using his emergency war powers to increase gas production. “I didn’t know they’d get their feelings hurt that quickly,” Biden said,

O’Dea thanked his supporters, calling Tuesday “not such a good night to be a Democratic super PAC.” Hanks was buoyed with an ad buy from a left-wing super PAC that touted Hanks’ conservative credentials. Mailers were also sent to Republican voters before the primary boosting Hanks, but did not include information required by the FEC on who was paying for and distributing the flier.

Police near San Antonio report that 47 migrants are dead and at least 18 others were transported to local hospitals after being locked inside a tractor-trailer. Officials found the tractor-trailer on the southwest side of San Antonio on a back road near Interstate 35. Police say the driver may have been involved in a human smuggling incident.
A senior law enforcement source on the scene told Breitbart Texas that 47 migrants were declared dead on the scene or at area hospitals and at least 18 others were taken to area hospitals. A source on the scene says they have a person of interest in custody.

The United States Army has dropped its requirement that recruits must have a high school diploma or a G.E.D. degree in an apparent attempt to increase the number of troops.
On Thursday, the Army announced the changes. Recruits must be 18 years old and eligible for a job in other areas of active duty and they also must score at least a 50 on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) to test their academic ability, according to Military.com.
The military outlet also noted, “The Army and its sister services have scrambled this year, offering increasingly generous benefits and policy tweaks in an effort to improve recruiting numbers.
