Police in Uvalde, Texas never attempted to open the door of a classroom while a gunman spent 77 minutes killing 19 children and two teachers who were inside, it is claimed. Surveillance footage from inside Robb Elementary School is said to show shows that police made no effort to open the door, and there is reason to believe it may even have been unlocked, a law enforcement source told the San Antonio Express-News. The surveillance footage from inside Robb Elementary School during the May 24 massacre has not been publicly released, but has been seen by the Express-News. Robb Elementary had an automatic door locking system in place,

So now the outside school door lock was broken and so was the classroom door lock, which means the killer could not have locked himself in the room as previously claimed. But even that doesn't matter because the police didn't even try to open the classroom door. Turn over your guns, people. In case of danger the police will hide until any risk to them is over.

one of the kids said the teacher was trying to lock the door with a key, but couldn't find the right key, and the killer fired through the door then, pushed her out of the way...said "Goodnight" and shot her. There is ZERO reason or excuse to have 20-30 keys on a ring with no way to tell which fits what. If they had the janitors key ring...they also had to have the janitor on scene to tell them/show them which keys went where...
School policy was "All doors shut and locked as soon as class session begins"

Needs to be a LOT of "Go home and don't come back" letters sent.
And then the "Get out of town" letters.

We need 100,000 more school resource officers...not! How about locks that lock and a felony charge for any exterior door opened without proper authorization?

Have lost most of my respect for 'law enforcement' over the past several years primarily because
of cases like this, and other 'incidents'.
I have been accused of 'painting with a broad brush' and that is correct, I am. That is BECAUSE
a broad brush is all I have as I have not been able to INTERVIEW and test EVERY law
enforcement officer in the county ! I can only go by what I see, hear and read !
If that's a broad brush, so be it !

Looks like this will end like the 2017 Las Vegas shooting. The shooter is dead. Now, let's go home. nada, zilch, nothing will be done now.

What I can't understand is why only one man ignored the authority structure, and went in after this murderer who was shooting defenseless children and teachers.
The hell with "authority" that allows that! Where were the real men?

Well #11, one of them came in the form of a young & determined little Mexican farm worker gal who used her brain, climbed over a tall fence, disobeyed cops and rescued her two kids herself.

Those who arranged this, promised the shooter a helicopter ride to freedom,a million dollars, and a new identity. Guess they lied.

If our tax funded police don't have the guts to open a door and rescue our kids, then let's give the weapons to our kids.
