"New York, New York, it's a wonderful town, the Bronx is up and the Batteries down, the people ride in a hole in the ground, New York, New York, it's a wonderful town" so sang Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly and Jules Munshin sang in the 1949 movie "On The Town' considering the past 8 years with deblasio and now Captain America, Eric Adams, there are probably not too many people singing "New York, New York, it's a wonderful town", these days but the fact is that, New York has always been a corrupt city, politically and some of the greatest names of corrupt politics come from New York, with Chicago a close second - why do we always seem to elect the worst people to our political offices, huh, diapers??

In May, a South Philadelphia man stepped out of his house for a smoke when police said a gun-wielding man rode up on a bicycle and demanded money. The homeowner dropped his cigarette, pulled out his licensed gun, and fatally shot the would-be robber in the head. In March, an assistant manager at a Dollar General store in North Philadelphia used his legal gun to shoot a man who police said burst into the store in a ski mask, demanded money, and threatened to kill the cashier. “I’m opening up the register for you, sir,” said the manager, who instead pulled his own handgun and shot the robber

US women's soccer hero Megan Rapinoe has come out strongly in favor of including transgender women in women's sport, labelling the arguments against 'cruel and disgusting'. The veteran soccer star, who co-captained the United States Women's National Team in 2019 as they won a second successive World Cup, was dismissive of the notion that trans women are dominating women's sports and thus need regulating. Instead, she argued that excluding them from competing at lower levels is cruel, as people value their 'kid's high school volleyball team' ahead of the lives and wellbeing of transgender people.(Snip)'I'm 100 per cent supportive of trans inclusion,' she told TIME.

New York City needs to “do better” in preventing black residents from being driven out of their neighborhoods, Mayor Eric Adams said on Sunday, during an address marking the Juneteenth holiday. Speaking in Central Park, Adams compared the modern-day uprooting of people of color from neighborhoods across the US—including the five boroughs—to slavery. “When I was in Ghana last year, [I] saw how families were displaced, torn apart and brought over to America through slavery in the hulls of the ships, living in dungeons, spending months and months living in their human waste, having their babies taken from them, and saw them dispersed and displaced,” he said.

Democrats in the Massachusetts state legislature have approved legislation to provide tens of thousands of illegal aliens with driver’s licenses—a vital tool for the open borders lobby. As Breitbart News reported, Gov. Charlie Baker (R) vetoed the legislation that would allow tens of thousands of illegal aliens in the state to obtain driver’s licenses. Baker said he vetoed the plan because it “significantly increases the risk that noncitizens will be registered to vote.” With majorities in the state House and Senate, Democrats have overridden Baker’s veto to ensure illegal aliens can begin obtaining driver’s licenses beginning July 1, 2023. Texas taxpayers are paying the price for Governor Greg Abbott's plan to bus migrants who crossed into the U.S. illegally to Washington, D.C. As of June 7, $2.9 million in taxpayer funds have sent only 1,778 immigrants to the nation's capital, according to Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) documents–and the figure is expected to rise as more buses have already been deployed and Abbott shows no signs of slowing the stunt. More than $1 million of the total cost has gone toward security alone, while taxpayers are also footing the bill for drivers and GPS tracking, among other things.

Following Buttigieg’s own flight being canceled, forcing him to drive from Washington to New York, he said his department has authority to enforce action against airlines that do not sufficiently maintain consumer-protection standards, potentially requiring them to hire more staff. The war on America's suburbs has opened a new front. Buried in President Biden's proposed budget for 2023 is a $10-billion bribe for suburban communities to remove zoning barriers to high-density housing. (snip) It is a strong signal to Democrat-controlled states to gear up the decades-long efforts to bludgeon affluent communities into submitting to "housing justice" and providing their "fair share." (snip) These efforts are being fueled by housing activists and progressive think-tanks like the Brookings Institution, which declared in a January 2022 article: "By some measures, the suburban counties around New York City have some of the worst exclusionary zoning in the nation."

Protesters from the Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights group gathered outside Barrett's home in Falls Church, Virginia, waving signs calling on the Supreme Court to protect women's federal abortion rights. The group also carried dolls and wore white pants with blood stains around the crotch, which they said represented an increase in the number of forced births that would take place if Barrett and her fellow conservative justices strike down Roe v. This week, Hillary Clinton dispelled the rumors that she might be running for presidential office again in 2024. The 2016 Democratic candidate who faced former President Trump, told the Financial Times in an interview published Friday that there were no plans to run for office in 2024. “No, out of the question,” Clinton told the Financial Times. “First of all, I expect Biden to run. He certainly intends to run. It would be very disruptive to challenge that.” Clinton made her failed bid for President in 2016 and unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008. Another bid for the office seems like it would be a wasted effort.

In her June 18/19 column at the Wall Street Journal, Ms. Noonan takes Hillary Clinton's "deplorables" slap at Trump voters and goes one — nay, two better. She refers to voters who question the results of the 2020 presidential election as "kooks, crooks, and freaks" and then smears the citizens who went to Washington, D.C. January 6, 2021 as "[t]hose poor stupid people." What is the basis for this criticism, which, arguably, is less ad hominem and, more accurately, descriptive of her mindset? Perhaps Ms. Noonan has not read Margot Cleveland's analysis in The Federalist showing how Georgia election officials failed to enforce the state's election laws in 2020.

Biden acknowledges America is in a funk, but shows no sense of compassion or determination to turn the tide.
