Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg told airline executives to clean up their act and avoid another flying catastrophe before July 4 as a record number of flights were canceled across the US for a second day in a row. On Friday, as of 11am, more than 1,000 flights across the US have been canceled and more than 2,300 have been delayed. LaGuardia is the second highest in the US for cancelations today, with 98 flights, with Charlotte Douglas Airport leading the pack with 113 cancelations.(Snip)Buttigieg, alongside millions of other travelers, are tired of what feels like constant cancelations without so much as an apology from the airlines.

The showboating gay rat flies private at US taxpayer expense when he blows out to San Fran or Fire Island; who is he kidding? And what a nerve he has lecturing others on how to do their jobs; clown couldn't even keep the potholes filled in South Bend, and he's a US cabinet official purely on the merits of his being a pervert who the agencies see as a possible future president of this failed nation.

I thought crippling transportation was the goal of this leftist administration. Gas prices are too high for most of us to even think of taking a road trip and the airlines are cutting flights, resulting in the public reducing their "carbon footprint".

Demanding something does not make it so. Biden and company do an awful lot of demanding. What are they doing to alleviate the problems? Pay people to stay home and not work. Block oil and gas production. And then complain there aren't enough people for jobs or energy to power the country. These people act like spoiled brats. Pete's equivalent of jumping up and down in his crib, shaking his rattle and screaming, does not improve transportation.

The United States—long a beacon to reproductive rights activists in Latin America—will now start to resemble those countries without Roe’s guarantee of a right to legally access abortion, say campaigners. For activists in places such as El Salvador, where abortion is entirely banned, and Venezuela, where there exists on the statute an exception to save the life of a woman though in practice is equally criminal, the decades-long success of campaigners in the US was often an inspiration. For women in Argentina, where “Green Wave” activists succeeded in their own landmark victory to secure legal abortion in late 2020, there was support from counterparts in the US
