The Exxon Mobil Corportation fired back at President Joe Biden’s letter calling on U.S. energy producers to bring “near-term solutions” to address rising gas prices and decades-high inflation. “In the short term, the U.S. government could enact measures often used in emergencies following hurricanes or other supply disruptions—such as waivers of Jones Act provisions and some fuel specifications to increase supplies,” (snip) And in the longer term, the federal government “can promote investment through clear and consistent policy that supports U.S. resource development, such as regular and predictable lease sales, as well as streamlined regulatory approval and support for infrastructure such as pipelines,” according to ExxonMobil.

Given what Biden et al. are doing, Ayn Rand's book "Atlas Shrugged" seems prophetic as it foretells what government does to industry in order to take control. They make it nearly impossible to produce and then demand you do when it suits them, despite no means of production. The Biden administration essentially hamstringed oil companies. Now they are asking oil companies to produce more of something that they criticize and suppress.

I wonder what would happen if every oil company immediately cancelled every fuel contract with the federal government?

Dear President Idiot, We were energy independent until you came along and effed everything up. Our plan is to restart drilling and build more refineries. Stay out of our way or you will reap the whirlwind. Sincerely, Exxon

People have been asking me what I think of the CDC approval of these vaccine for babies and young children, and I have to ask them, do you really not know what I think? I mean, seriously? Have you looked at the VAERS data lately? The CDC apparently has not. In the USA alone, there have been 831,801 adverse events, of which 12,776 are life threatening. There have been 63,978 hospitalizations. There have been 13,293 deaths and 14,232 permanent disabilities from these vaccines. Cherlisa Starks-Richardson was disappointed when she learned that the beloved children's museum in her community was selling a "watermelon salad" in celebration of Juneteenth. Starks-Richardson, who often took her daughter to the Indianapolis Children's Museum growing up, said she expected the museum would be more focused on educating the public about Juneteenth -- which celebrates the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans -- instead of serving themed foods. To make matters worse, she said, watermelon has historically been used as a racist trope against Black Americans. If one watches episodic police and detective dramas, there often occurs a scene wherein a culprit is apprehended and charged as an accomplice “after the fact” for helping to cover up the crime. In the British equivalent of such shows, the police use the phrase “perverting the course of justice.” The bottom line is, if one aids in concealing, distracting, or diverting attention from the criminal act to prevent its detection, one is guilty of participating in a criminal enterprise, whether it be before or after the fact. The United States has increased heavy crude imports amid Western sanctions on Russia and President Joe Biden’s letter calling on U.S. energy producers to make more gasoline and diesel. Customs data shows that U.S. refiners last month imported the highest number of crude barrels in nearly two years, with refiners importing 33.5 million barrels of heavy crude in May. According to the data, 56 vessels discharged nearly 1.1 million barrels per day (bpd) of Mexico’s Maya, Ecuador’s Napo and Oriente, and Iraq’s Basra heavy, among other grades. Heavy crudes cost less than lighter shale oils that are produced in the United States and typically produce more diesel and less gasoline.
