Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) knew he had a problem when Newt Gingrich showed up at the House GOP retreat in Florida in March. Gingrich led the 1994 midterm blowout that helped Republicans gain 54 seats and their first majority in 40 years, the type of midterm result that today’s GOP lawmakers seemed to think is possible, given President Biden’s miserable job approval and inflation’s continuing to soar. (snip) “I will tell you from a political standpoint, we’ve looked at this across the country. The issues that matter most to the people out there are inflation and the economy,” he said.

The biggest difference between now and 2010 or 1994 is that the Democrats have now perfected voting fraud to a science.

Pardon the cynicism, but it's all graft. Republicans aren't comfortable being in charge. Their role is to fund-raise by complaining about those rascally Democrats. When in charge, they risk being identified for the impotent grifters they really are. They want more and bigger government, just like the Democrats. I could go on, but there's not much point. Unless we get game-changers like President Trump in office, everyone in Washington has the same agenda, to profit themselves in every way possible.

The reason Establishment RINOs constantly screw up is because they are NO DIFFERENT than Socialist Democrats. They are elites and can’t identify with you and me because they are so filthy rich that no social issue EVER affects them personally. We must replace Congress with the common man and woman or we will never have any grievances heard in Washington DC!

Most Republican politicians get ahead because they are rich and don’t give a crap about real issues while most Democrat politicians get ahead because they are crooks and don’t give a crap about anything. Bottom line neither party gives a crap about us!

#5 is right. I remember the Repubs saying "give us the House and we'll change everything." and we did. Nothing changed. Then they said "give us the Senate and we'll change everything." and we did. Nothing changed. Then they said "give us the White House and we'll change everything." and we did. Then both the House an the Senate fought against Trump at every turn. Neither party cares about about serving us, just themselves. All politicians should be sent to jail for breech of verbal contract and Economic Treason.

Minnesota could become a destination for abortion services for women from other states if the U.S. Supreme Court throws out the landmark Roe v. Wade decision, and the state's abortion providers said Tuesday that they're preparing for the anticipated surge. That's because abortion would remain legal, at least for now, under a 1995 Minnesota Supreme Court ruling known as Doe v. Gomez, which effectively established a right to abortion under the state constitution, said Laura Hermer, a professor at the Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

Then he made claims about the police response to Uvalde. Hogg did not mention the numerous times armed resource officers have saved lives on campus.
