Former Trump Aide Navarro Indicted for
Contempt of Congress over Refusal to Cooperate

A federal grand jury has indicted Peter Navarro, a former Trump White House adviser, on criminal contempt of Congress charges over his refusal to cooperate in the House investigation of the January 6th attack. The indictment comes after the House voted in April to refer Navarro to the Justice Department for failing to comply with a February subpoena from the House Select Committee on the January 6 Capitol riot. Navarro was charged with one contempt count for his refusal to appear for a deposition, and another for his refusal to produce documents requested by the committee, despite the subpoena from the January 6 committee.

70% (my figure) of Americans have nothing but contempt for Congress. Most of those have contempt for the President, and the SCOTUS is beginning to be contemptible also.

If he can drag it out through the year, a Republican House will withdraw the subpoena, thereby mooting the prosecution's case against him. Even if DOJ tries to continue the case, the courts will find it moot.

Personally, I don’t think it should be prosecuted because I think we have better time or resources to use or spend to other things that affect the nation as a whole than a possible lie to the FBI…I mean than refusal to comply with a highly partisan rogue committee. We could spend that time more wisely.

Navarro is not contemptuous of Congress, but contempt of the Democrat Jan. 6 Committee. Please amend the indictment accordingly, removing the inaccuracy.

Yeah, that really looks good! The NASTY members on the Jan 6th Committee threatening to throw an OLD MAN in a Jail Cell because he won't squeal on his former Employer, The President! Hope everyone else does the same and refuses to have anything to do with those Clowns! Drag it out long enough for the Mid-Terms and none of the Committee will be in Congress. They will be thrown out with the rest of the Garbage in that Building!

Another instance on how the deep state plans to bankrupt its opponents by having them spend lots of $$$ on deep state attorneys who will "defend" you against these charges. Why more of these folks haven't gone to the civil suit route like Carter Page and now President Trump is beyond me. For example. I believe Gen. Flynn would have a great case against James Cardinal Comey and others for that frame job -- and what will be found is that Flynn HAD to be framed and framed quickly, because he would have quickly been able to determine what had been done (and was in the process of being done) by the Clinton machine, DNC, and the DOJ/FBI/Intelligence agencies.

If he doesn’t end up with a Clinton, Obama, or Biden appointed Judge who rules that evidence, pointing out that the January 6th Democrat run congressional committee was not properly appointed, cannot be presented during his trial, Navarro should be OK. But remember this will certainly be a another highly politically charged case held in DC with a Democrat supporting jury.

Here's what's at stake for the Office of the President and the "separation of powers" intent in the Constitution. Executive priviledge is a critical protection that all Presidential aides and consultants expect regardless of party or ideology. This allows them to be candid and honest with the Executive without fear of public retribution or legal actions against them from the Legislative branch. The Jan 6 committee is attempting to prosecute former Trump aids like Bannon and Navarro for not disclosing to Congress decisions and communications that fall under the Executive priviledge protection. President Trump is just a person and once he leaves office he can no longer can claim the powers of the Executive. Normal successor Presidents of either party have recognized the need defend this protection just as both parties in the Senate recognize the importance of defending the fillabuster. Because Joe Biden is a partisan hack with a vendetta against Trump and is willing to destroy the Presidency along with the rest of the country, he has refused Executive priviledge protection for his predecessor even when it clearly applies. This is what will be adjudicated over many years and at great expense in the Bannon and Navarro trials. The SCOTUS will have to resolve this impasse but the clear expectation of President Trump, and indirectly his aides, is that his term in office should receive equal treatment under the principle of Executive Priviledge as every prior President in history.

Notorious doxxer and Washington Post “internet culture” columnist Taylor Lorenz was called out for reporting falsehoods Friday by two YouTube influencers who Lorenz mentioned in a hit piece about them. Lorenz claimed she reached out to the pair for comment—which according to them is simply not true. Lorenz was reporting “that content creators” were the winners in the explosive Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial that ended this week in what most people consider a huge win for Depp. Lorenz claimed that by following the trial on their viral YouTube channels, influencers “LegalBytes” host Alyte Mazeika and an anonymous user called ThatUmbrellaGuy made tens of thousands of dollars.

The Washington Free Beacon contacted partners and corporate staff at six top law firms which regularly hire Supreme Court clerks. All declined to say whether they would hire the leaker or even condemn the breach itself. Though an internal probe has yet to identify the source, reports indicate that clerks are the focus of the investigation. Recent months have seen other unusual disclosures—such as the leak of Justice Stephen Breyer's retirement plans

The Democrats have made it plenty clear over the years that they don’t like the Constitution as written. They hate free speech, a free press, religion that is free from government intervention and, most of all, the Second Amendment and its clear recognition of every citizen’s inherent right to bear arms. Unable to change these principles, they opt for imaginary rights (e.g., abortion, same-sex marriage) and dream of packing the Supreme Court to circumvent the intentionally cumbersome amendment process. But they always pay lip service to the Constitution. That is, until Rep. David Cicilline (D. R.I.) spoke openly about his contempt. He is to be praised for his honesty.
