Former White House economic adviser Peter Navarro contested the charges against him in federal court in Washington, DC, on Friday, after he was arrested by the FBI on two counts of contempt of Congress for defying the January 6 committee. Navarro spent hours in custody and in court, “having at it,” in the words of Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto. He confirmed that he had been arrested while boarding a domestic flight, and placed into “handcuffs” and “leg irons.” (Tweet/Video) He told reporters outside the courthouse that arresting officers had made a point of placing him in a cell once occupied by former attempted assassin John Hinckley, Jr.,

The last Howard Johnson's restaurant has shut its doors, signaling the end of an era for travelers who remember the brand's fried clams and 28 flavors of ice cream as a road trip staple.
The Lake George, N.Y., location is closed, and the property is up for lease, listing agent Bill Moon of Exit Realty Empire Associates confirmed. However, Moon said, for the last several years, the restaurant wasn't operated as "traditional Howard Johnson's experience".

The House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot is scaling down the number of planned public hearings for June, from eight down to six.Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) is not ruling out the prospect of further public hearings after June and noted that the panel has been mulling through the logistics of when the other hearings will take place."If there is something we think that's of value that a hearing could amplify, we are absolutely open to doing it," he said in an interview with Insider published Friday. "It's our democracy that stands to lose if we don't get it right."

At least three Republican candidates vying to take the governor’s seat in Michigan will not appear on the August primary ballot after a high court decision ended their campaigns after days of legal battles and appeals to qualify. The Michigan Supreme Court on Friday sided with the state Bureau of Elections in its rulings that presumptive front-runner and former Detroit Police Chief James Craig, businessman Perry Johnson, and financial adviser Michael Markey did not qualify to appear on the primary ballot. The three candidates were initially ruled ineligible in May after the state found they failed to submit enough valid petition signatures.

Barack Obama’s crusade to destroy Lt. General Michael Flynn began months before Election Day in 2016. Flynn resigned as Obama’s Defense Intelligence Agency director in 2014 amid clashes with his boss at the time, James Clapper, over the administration’s approach to the war on terror. In early 2016, Flynn, who had become an outspoken critic of Obama’s foreign policy, joined the Trump presidential campaign; a few months later, Obama’s FBI opened a counterintelligence probe into Flynn and three other campaign associates.
After Trump won, Team Obama accelerated its targeting of Flynn. Obama warned Trump during an Oval Office meeting shortly after Election Day not to hire Flynn,

The French writer Voltaire lived in the 18th century but his words spell out today’s Democrats’ playbook perfectly. If you can get someone to believe a brutal lie, then you can inspire those people to do horrible things. It’s like Voltaire is running the DNC today. Let’s take a look at three absurd lies spread by elected toilet humans on the left, and the atrocious carnage that has resulted from those lies. Most importantly, we will see who has paid the price for the decimation the Democrats have caused with their fantasy whoppers. ABSURDITY/ATROCITY # 1: White Supremacy--ABSURDITY- Leftists have their minions believing the country is crawling with white supremacists.

Demonstrating once again that he is the only reporter in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room, Fox News’ Peter Doocy squared off with White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday and asked, “When are you guys going to admit that you were wrong about inflation?”
Last week, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen admitted as much to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and said she was “wrong” when she assessed the situation in March.“Is there a risk of inflation? I think there’s a small risk, and I think it’s manageable. I don’t anticipate that inflation is going to be a problem, but it is something that we’re watching very carefully,”
