'And six years later, the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled.'After less than three days of deliberation, Heard was awarded $2million in compensatory damages out of the $100million she was seeking

Whew. What a divorce. Johnny, time for your next movie then? Amber, so playing the victim card is who you are?
In any divorce, there are two sides to the story. While, I doubt Depp was squeaky clean on this case, Amber should have recognized early on what was about to happen to her. Money does not bring happiness.

I watched the jury return the verdict. I almost expected AH to just melt into a puddle, like another famous witch did once.

It isn't over. The judge can reduce the awards. And Amber can appeal.

Nothingburger Amber Heard has been a known crazy for a long time. Many wondered why he hooked up with her in the first place. He has probably been thinking the same thing.

Why do I imagine that actually collecting that money may be unlikely?

Re #2, they divorced years ago. This was about a defamation suit Depp filed against her for an op ed she wrote accusing him of some very bad things.
He won.

I saw 5 minutes of each of them on the stand just to understand what everyone else was talking about.
I learned this:
1) both are bad people
2) both are dumb as a sack of rocks
3) she's way crazier and a bigger liar than him
4) I wasted 10m of my life. None of this was important at all.

went to my local watering hole for my weekly pivo. the 2 female bartenders (28 and 50) regaled me with all of the sultry details of this fiasco but when I brought up the Sussman acquittal they didn't know what I was talking about.
and that is why and how we get the government we have

So sad and so disappointing that an entire nation can be held spellbound at the public spectacle of the slow-motion train wreck of the lives of two desperately mentally-ill people whose only claim to fame and fortune is the ability to counterfeit emotion on the screen.

#7, They are morally and legally equivalent? Seriously?
#8, You expect bartenders to be geniuses or even vaguely familiar with local or national politics? Once again, seriously?
#9, It's easier to follow something not national/global in scale. Only AH is mentally ill. JD is just a fool. But only one of them is guilty of slander to the point that the other person is no longer able to find a job. That may be fine with you, but for most people, it isn't.
#7, 8, and 9, Look up the word sanctimonious. I think it applies to all 3 of you.

10, no, I think these are dumb rich people who got rich doing nothing of particular value and society wallows in this garbage while more important things such as Sussman getting off are generally unknown.
I won't insult you in return. There's no need. You've made it clear who you are.

Johnny got pennies compared to what the TV broadcasts that followed it brought in.

I hope the ACLU, which wrote the Amber Heard op ed that generated the lawsuit, will happily agree to pitch in to pay the award to Depp.

I didn’t even watch it and I know it was not about money.
And we do have sanctimonious souls among us I think they are multiplying. Like rabbits.

They are actors. They are trained to lie and pretend to be someone they aren’t. Glad I wasn’t on this jury. Watched Amber’s testimony and it was obviously pure BS. His story wasn’t much better but she blew it with her quivering victim act. Way overdone Amber. Can we move on?

I hope he is not counting on getting much of that settlement from her. I consider him a bit of a hero for striking a blow against that foul agenda called Always Believe the Woman. He might be a weird duck, but she is absolutely insane. AOC level insane.
