Woke MLB Manager Protests National Anthem,
Then Commits Mistake Worthy Of Little League

Baseball is a complicated game. The rulebook for Major League Baseball is 191 pages long. The intricacies of the game’s strategies are seemingly endless, and as a team manager at the top level of the sport, the opportunities for missteps present themselves constantly. Should we attempt a bunt in this situation? Do I need to bring another pitcher in to face this next batter? Does it make sense to attempt a hit-and-run play on this pitch? It’s not easy being a major league manager. But there are certain aspects of our national pastime that are simple, including rules that most of us learn as children playing in Little League.

Comments:

If ISIS had a baseball team and they were playing against Kapler and the Giants, I still don't think I could root for his team. This man is a disgrace.

Does anyone give a damn about Gabe Kapler and his not standing for the National Anthem? I agree the guy is an ass and doubly so given the holiday we are "celebrating". And that's not the point. "Real conservatives" always speak in terms of individual liberty, until some individual exercises his individuality to make a point, whether one likes or supports it, or not. If you want to boycott a business or product, including sports events, that's your decision exercising your individuality. Make your point. This whining about Kapler gives him more publicity than deserved for a point that is patently rubbish.

Now I know why the Phillies let this clown go. That kind of stunt might work in San Francisco, but in Philly, there might be a few fans who would have stormed the field and taken manners into their own hands.

Gabe, my Father was a U.S. Marine who fought from Midway Island to the South Pacific in WWII. He instilled in me pride and patriotism for our country. He took me to see my first Giants game at age 8 in 1958. I remember how proud and excited it was to stand with him at the old Seals Stadium when OUR National Anthem played. In 1968-69, I followed his lead and fought for the red, white and blue in Vietnam. I learned from my Father what it takes and means to be a great American. Apparently, your father taught you different. You are not worthy of wearing the Giants uniform.

We all complain about the PLAYER who pulls this kind of idiocy...but why are we not singling out the OWNERS of the team???? Why are we not boycotting/protesting/exerting financial and social pressure against the coaches and the OWNERS of the team??? Why aren't we holding their feet to the fire and demanding that if theyre too lazy and greedy to make sure their team hires aren't good citizens and won't act like overprivileged jerks, they will feel the pain? At this point, reacting to what some brain-concussed over paid player says and does is just distraction and shooting fish in a barrel. I want the OWNERS of the team to feel the heat. Theyre the dunderheads who allow this sort of thing.

Why The Jury Should Convict Michael Sussmann
Of Lying To The FBI, But Probably Won’t

Closing arguments will begin later this morning in Special Counsel John Durham’s false statement case against former Hillary Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann, after Sussmann made a last-minute decision on Thursday not to testify in his own defense. The evidence prosecutors elicited from witnesses over the last two weeks provides overwhelming proof of Sussmann’s guilt and destroys the many defense theories Sussmann’s legal team floated throughout the trial. Yet a conviction of a fellow D.C.-swamp dweller may be unattainable.

Tech executive Rodney Joffe fed the Alfa Bank hoax to the FBI via two distinct routes, testimony from yesterday’s proceedings in the Michael Sussmann criminal case indicates. This apparent circular reporting further cements Special Counsel John Durham’s Section 1001 false statement case against Sussmann by highlighting the significance of Sussmann’s alleged lie to former FBI General Counsel James Baker. Sussmann, who is in the middle of week two of his trial in a D.C. federal court, was charged last fall in a one-count indictment with lying to Baker when he provided Baker two flash drives and several “white papers”

K-12 schools must allow boys into girls’ private areas to obtain federal funds for lunches, breakfasts, and snacks, the Biden administration announced this month. A U.S. Department of Education spokesman told The Federalist the Biden administration’s press releases from several agencies announcing this policy will be followed by formal rulemaking in June. “It seems to be playing politics with feeding poor kids, which is really unfortunate,” John Elcesser, executive director of the Indiana Non-Public Education Association, said via phone amid weeks of attempting to sort out these new demands with government officials on behalf of private schools in his state.

Thanks to the leaked opinion in the Dobbs case, abortion “rights” have become a hot topic on the left. But what about the rights of health care workers to refuse to abort babies? Or to refuse participation in other referrals or procedures (such as euthanasia or gender reassignment surgeries) to which they object on moral or religious grounds? Under a proposed rule removal by the Biden administration’s Health and Human Services Department (HHS), health care workers will have little recourse if their medical school, employer, or state insists that they participate in procedures or referrals to which they object.

Donald Trump Jr. is not his father. His dad is indeed one-of-a-kind. But there are certain traits and features that have clearly been passed down from Trump the elder, particularly when it comes to their personalities. One of the more endearing qualities in both men is their plainspokenness. They don’t pull any punches, especially when it comes to issues and politicians about which they are passionate. Such was the case with Trump the younger when he weighed in on a hot-button topic recently, as reported by the Washington Post on Sunday. The subject was the Biden Administration’s flirtation with so-called “student loan forgiveness,” and Don Jr. didn’t hold back:

For those who scoff that Florida’s new education law bans “non-existent” gender indoctrination, let the tale of Fairfax County, Virginia serve as a wake-up call. Fairfax County’s school board has long prided itself on leading the way for the nation in cutting-edge education policy and curriculum. As the tenth-largest district in the nation, it holds disproportionate sway over other school boards. In 2015, the Fairfax school board blindsided parents with changes to its non-discrimination policy, followed by a sweeping expansion of the sex-ed curriculum and new rules governing student offenses and penalties.

Can you imagine living in mortal fear of a 90-year-old man who preaches peace and love? If so, you know what it is like to be a senior member of the Chinese Communist Party. On Wednesday, communist authorities in Hong Kong arrested Cardinal Joseph Zen on a phony “national security” charge. Zen’s immediate offense was his alleged involvement in a dissolved fund to defend those harmed by the ruthless crackdown on pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong. His real crime is his unwillingness to overlook Beijing’s broken promises about establishing democracy with universal suffrage in Hong Kong—a promise it made to get the former colony back from the gullible British.

Next month, Alaskans will vote in a special primary election for the state’s single congressional seat, left vacant by the death of Republican Rep. Don Young in March. Young, the longest-serving Republican in the history of the U.S. House, was Alaska’s sole congressman for 49 years, so the election to replace him is in some ways an historic event for the state. But it’s also historic in another way: it will be Alaska’s first ever statewide mail-in primary election. That is, there will be no in-person voting at all. Every single voter on the state’s bloated and error-riddled voter rolls was automatically mailed a blank ballot.
