is a black eye for the FBI

With the jury out in the trial of former 2016 Clinton campaign counsel Michael Sussmann, the usual odds-takers appeared on cable news, rating the chances of a conviction. Despite the seemingly overwhelming evidence against Sussmann, the jury’s makeup seems strikingly favorable for the defense. One verdict, however, appears to need little deliberation. It concerns the Department of Justice, and particularly the FBI. The trial confirmed what many have long alleged about how top officials eagerly accepted any Russia collusion claim involving former President Trump’s 2016 campaign.

The fbi"s reputation was irretrievably harmed even prior to this. This is just reconfirmation.
The fbi needs new outside leadership and a reassignment of many of its duties to agencies that have less ethical issues.

What about the Mueller disaster… it made courts, judges, JD & federal agencies appear to be one sided, bias, unlawful, disrespectful, arrogant and completely immune from any type of investigation from the JD….

The worst thing is, we have KNOWN this is what happened for quite a while now. Between the media ignoring or defending the perpetrators and the Deep State actors protecting themselves, nothing much has happened to address it. Sure, it would be nice to have Sussmann convicted, although that is a big maybe. However, the major players, Hillary, Comey, BO, key politicians and media people, and numerous others are going to walk away with smirks. They got away with it.

Let's not forget this is '16. In terms of Trump, the FBI and DOJ aren't really on his case, although apparently anxious to do what they can to prevent his becoming President. These "kitchen sinks" come courtesy of the usual sources. It is the beginning of a four year effort that included the UNIPARTY and official Washington to run this guy out of office. He was bad for business. And they could make nothing stick, despite control over the message and the media. What I find bothersome is that Durham will now "retire" and turn this all over to DOJ regardless of outcome.

If they don't convict him, the jury should be thrown in jail.

"The public deserves to have a full Durham report". The public deserves to have Clinton, Comey, and everyone who contributed to this treason all thrown in jail

Mr. Turley wastes a lot of verbiage when a simple statement would suffice: The FBI is a criminal organization.
And please, don’t write about the vaunted “rank and file.” The dead fish stinks from the head down.

I'll ask again; why is Turley still a Democrat? He knows they are crooked. They owe the American taxpayers $35 million dollars. Hillary is still walking around laughing all the way to the bank. A pox on both houses!!!

After Sussman's acquittal the FBI will be like Spanky McFarland in the "Little Rascals" with a big black eye and an even bigger grin.

The two hundred previous "black eyes" have made not the slightest difference in this corrupt, criminal agency run by political hacks with badges for purely political purposes.

Like Orwell's 1984, the story will be conviently trashed down the memory hole.
Because we all know Trump is some sort of dangerous criminal. You know, like maybe he told his hotel maids to remove those "Do not remove under penalty of federal law" tags from his hotel mattresses.
Now if only they can get one of those maids to flip.

I don’t see this going anywhere. Hillary will never hold public office again and maybe this will remove her from the publics eye. PDJT will never receive the apology he deserves, we will never get our tax money back. The people beyond Sussman will never receive the punishment they deserve. The best we can hope for as more will see the ways of the liberals and vote with their brains not their loyalty. The sad part is everyone in the Republican Party knew the truth and did nothing. So sad, so very disappointing.

Well folks...now WE know WE cannot trust the FBI and any efforts they make to break down a door is politically motivated...remember what President Reagan said...if the government shows up to "help you"...run the other way...so this nonsense has been going on for 40 years...king barrack just made it more apparent...it needs to be overhauled from the top down...

This Sussmann case is just the tip of the iceberg. If what Gregg Phillips said the other day is true, he expects to expose multiple federal agencies who have essentially become an international corruption and bribery ring. I have no idea what to expect but hoping he can stay out of harm's way until he tells his story. I don't even care if the msm buries what he is about to say. I just want to know what is going on behind the curtain and who are the bad actors. Will his findings (more geotracking data?) further divide our nation? Yes, it will. Greatly this time. But no tin foil hats for now.

IF the FBI is to survive, they should be moved to the center of the country with new management and new non-political training. IF..
