Wife of WNBA’s Brittney Griner: President
Biden the ‘One Person’ Who Can Save
Her from Russia

Cherelle Griner believes that President Joe Biden is the “one person” who can bring back her wife, WNBA player Brittney Griner, from Russia, where she has been detained for 96 days after officials allegedly found drugs in her luggage at a Moscow airport. Cherelle also believes that things would be different if Brittney was an NBA player. “There is one person that can go get her, and that’s our president,” Griner told ESPN’s Angela Rye in an interview airing Wednesday. “He has that power. You know, I’m just like, ‘Why are we not using it? Like, urgently, use it.’ We’re expecting him to use his power to get it done.”

If Biden could have done something, he would have. This is a case for diplomacy, but it is not helped by Biden calling for "regime change" in Russia.

What was Brittany thinking bringing in a vape cartridge containing hash oil into Russia? Did she think the custom agent would see the vape cartridge and say, "this is cool!" And then he recognize Brittany right away and say, "Oh you're Brittany Griner. You play for the WNBA. You're cool! Go on. Have a cool time in Russia!" No it didn't work out so well for Brittany. What a fooolish stunt she pulled, and now she is suffering from her stupidity.

This has bothered me for sometime. Almost all federal corruption cases are tried by the DC Circuit court. I have very often wondered how this could possibly be fair to all in the nation, Well I just checked and it is even worse than I had believed. The DC Cuircuit court is the smalles, by far. The population of the court area is 689,000. That is the total population of the court region from which a jury would be selected. It is without a doubt also the most politicall, economically and probably racially and educationally homogenous population in the country. Here is the perspective though, the next largest circuit court, the 1st circuit which is most of New Englandhas a Jury pool population of 14,000,000. Over 20 times as large as the DC court. The third smalles circuit court is the 10th with 18 million. How is it reasonable that 0.21% of the population of the US is the only source of Jurors for arguably the most nationaly significant court cases?

Jimmy Carter’s administration was dominated by the Iranian hostage crisis and, domestically, by what would be later termed, “The Great Malaise.” Americans faced long lines at the gas pumps with the energy crisis; our space station, Skylab, was about to crash into Earth; and Carter’s popularity was at 25%. President Carter huddled for 10 days at Camp David, meeting with a cross-section of America. In his famous speech, Carter said America was facing a “crisis of confidence.” People felt that he was managing, not leading the government and that the government was largely ineffective. When you look at the Biden administration, the parallels are eerily similar.

Peter Arnett’s celebrated quote — “It became necessary to destroy the town to save it” — was a fabrication during the Vietnam War but has a macabre application to Ukraine. American fecklessness and Russian rapacity together will leave a grease spot where Ukraine used to be. It was all tragically, idiotically unnecessary. I argued in 2008 and on many subsequent occasions, including the February 2014 note in PJ Media reposted below. The obvious course of action in Ukraine was to permit its people to vote for a divorce, as the Czechs and Slovaks did. Instead we elected to keep the NATO option open for Ukraine, knowing that this was

That raised questions as to how, given the evidence, you get a not guilty verdict in this case? Now, part of the issue may have been judicial rulings that hindered Special Counsel John Durham’s case to some degree, as I noted. The other part may have been you likely started out with an unfavorable jury, to begin with, in D.C., but then, in this case, you also seemed

Washington—A federal jury on Tuesday found former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann not guilty of lying to the FBI — finding special counsel John Durham did not prove his case beyond a reasonable doubt. The verdict by a jury in heavily Democratic-leaning DC, came midway through the second day of deliberations following a two-week trial on a single count of making false statements to a federal agent. Durham’s prosecution team unsuccessfully sought to prove that Sussmann deliberately lied to then-FBI general counsel James Baker by claiming not to be acting on behalf of the Clinton campaign and an internet executive when the two met in 2016.
