Trump hasn’t officially announced whether he will run for president again in 2024, though he is widely expected to. An announcement either way is expected after the 2022 midterm elections. That said, sources in Trump’s inner circle say that one name in particular is a likely choice as his vice-presidential nominee: Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.).Multiple sources tell CNN (for some reason) that Stefanik has caught his eye, and that “conversations about adding Stefanik to a future Trump ticket have gained steam in recent weeks at Mar-a-Lago and in other Republican circles.”CNN says that two people familiar with the ongoing discussions say Trump has been “surveying close friends and allies

More likely? Someone is SWATTING Stefanik...phone this in to CNN so the full weight and force of destruction media can be unleashed upon her, much in the way it was on Trump, now is on Elon Musk...but she doesn't have the resources to be able to fight it as well.

Good idea for a running mate. I like it. DeSantis/Stefanik, or maybe Abbott/Stefanik.

Probably a good ticket. Tells me that Trump is working, quietly behind the scenes, to have a TEAM ready to win in November 2024, walk into Washington DC on January 20, 2025 with people ready to walk into Executive Branch agencies handing out cardboard boxes for EVERY political appointee and every civil service employee who was moved from a political to a civil service job (Obama did a lot of that in 2016).
Like they say, if you want a friend in Washington DC, get a dog. Because Trump should be wise enough to know that there are no friends in the deep state.

Abbott is a non starter. A big weasel.
As they say in Texas, all hat, no cattle.

President Trump will do what he will do, and there seems little point in speculating about it until he does it.

Way too early. Way too early. Trump would need a heavyweight for a running mate, someone with real qualifications, other than sex and race...... which are actually NOT qualiications.

What would she bring to the ticket? It's not as if NY is in play.

I don't think so. She's a RINO big time. He'd better stay away from RINOs, since we all see what happened with his last RINO VP.

Trump/DeSantis is the winning ticket. If President Trump can’t get his act together and start looking forward, I like DeSantis. Never thought I would say that but if Trump truly wants to win he will bring out the guy who gave wonderful uplifting speeches heralding the goodness and strength of this nation. He will be the President that we caught a glimpse of on several occasions. He doesn’t have to lose his bite, but learn to use it effectively. Not every thought in someone’s head has to be released into the public square. Be smart. Let his record speak for him. Just pull back the acerbic rhetoric a tad. We love the happy warrior. The funny guy. However, this is a serious election coming up in 2024. We need all the good attributes of his personality. We know what he can get accomplished under the worst of circumstances and constant daily attacks. A sharp rebuke may be satisfying but winning is the ultimate goal. The worse thing Trump can do is attack DeSantis. This guy would be his ace in the hole.

It's too soon for any of this. There will be so many. Personally, I really admire DeSantis and think he is perfect for the VP job. In fact, he is so effective that both (Trump/DeSantis) can fix this broken country.
