Court Testimony Shows Spygate Conspirators

Tech executive Rodney Joffe fed the Alfa Bank hoax to the FBI via two distinct routes, testimony from yesterday’s proceedings in the Michael Sussmann criminal case indicates. This apparent circular reporting further cements Special Counsel John Durham’s Section 1001 false statement case against Sussmann by highlighting the significance of Sussmann’s alleged lie to former FBI General Counsel James Baker. Sussmann, who is in the middle of week two of his trial in a D.C. federal court, was charged last fall in a one-count indictment with lying to Baker when he provided Baker two flash drives and several “white papers”

Looks like Mr. Durham did a lot of digging. We can only hope that the evidence will be so overwhelming the DC jury will have no option but to convict. Then I remember the O.J. Simpson trial…and then there is the highly compromised judge in this trial. One can hope.

The real question to be asked is where did the Muellar $$$ go for his investigation. It is apparent that Durham is conducting a real investigation. Muellar did a shadow dance. Why? Was 45's DOJ responsible? Questions Barr? Clarify.

The FBI is a bureaucracy. Sussman fed his lies far up the chain and it went further, apparently to the top, where the Director and his minions were willing dupes, if not co-conspirators. The field agents need to make their superiors happy, and investigating nothing is an easy route to take...and then the press can get a sniff of this investigation through a leak and run with the story themselves. I suspect this was the original plan before everyone got carried away as the fear of a Trump administration overtook the potential of one.

#4, I think you're right, but would add they used their privileged access to these powerful people to exploit the situation for their partisan, political gain. I'm sure it was inferred that those top-level (7th floor) folks would be rewarded (quid pro quo) in what was expected to be the in-coming Clinton administration. The fact that the FBI was able to not find the Steele dossier credible within 1 day, and was early-on in the matter, yet they all continued on regardless of the facts indicates the conspiracy, or joint venture, as it was described in the current Court proceedings. This enables Durham to push on, and many of those aren't covered by a statue of limitations either.

Baseball is a complicated game. The rulebook for Major League Baseball is 191 pages long. The intricacies of the game’s strategies are seemingly endless, and as a team manager at the top level of the sport, the opportunities for missteps present themselves constantly. Should we attempt a bunt in this situation? Do I need to bring another pitcher in to face this next batter? Does it make sense to attempt a hit-and-run play on this pitch? It’s not easy being a major league manager. But there are certain aspects of our national pastime that are simple, including rules that most of us learn as children playing in Little League.

Closing arguments will begin later this morning in Special Counsel John Durham’s false statement case against former Hillary Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann, after Sussmann made a last-minute decision on Thursday not to testify in his own defense. The evidence prosecutors elicited from witnesses over the last two weeks provides overwhelming proof of Sussmann’s guilt and destroys the many defense theories Sussmann’s legal team floated throughout the trial. Yet a conviction of a fellow D.C.-swamp dweller may be unattainable.

K-12 schools must allow boys into girls’ private areas to obtain federal funds for lunches, breakfasts, and snacks, the Biden administration announced this month. A U.S. Department of Education spokesman told The Federalist the Biden administration’s press releases from several agencies announcing this policy will be followed by formal rulemaking in June. “It seems to be playing politics with feeding poor kids, which is really unfortunate,” John Elcesser, executive director of the Indiana Non-Public Education Association, said via phone amid weeks of attempting to sort out these new demands with government officials on behalf of private schools in his state.

Thanks to the leaked opinion in the Dobbs case, abortion “rights” have become a hot topic on the left. But what about the rights of health care workers to refuse to abort babies? Or to refuse participation in other referrals or procedures (such as euthanasia or gender reassignment surgeries) to which they object on moral or religious grounds? Under a proposed rule removal by the Biden administration’s Health and Human Services Department (HHS), health care workers will have little recourse if their medical school, employer, or state insists that they participate in procedures or referrals to which they object.

Donald Trump Jr. is not his father. His dad is indeed one-of-a-kind. But there are certain traits and features that have clearly been passed down from Trump the elder, particularly when it comes to their personalities. One of the more endearing qualities in both men is their plainspokenness. They don’t pull any punches, especially when it comes to issues and politicians about which they are passionate. Such was the case with Trump the younger when he weighed in on a hot-button topic recently, as reported by the Washington Post on Sunday. The subject was the Biden Administration’s flirtation with so-called “student loan forgiveness,” and Don Jr. didn’t hold back:

For those who scoff that Florida’s new education law bans “non-existent” gender indoctrination, let the tale of Fairfax County, Virginia serve as a wake-up call. Fairfax County’s school board has long prided itself on leading the way for the nation in cutting-edge education policy and curriculum. As the tenth-largest district in the nation, it holds disproportionate sway over other school boards. In 2015, the Fairfax school board blindsided parents with changes to its non-discrimination policy, followed by a sweeping expansion of the sex-ed curriculum and new rules governing student offenses and penalties.

Can you imagine living in mortal fear of a 90-year-old man who preaches peace and love? If so, you know what it is like to be a senior member of the Chinese Communist Party. On Wednesday, communist authorities in Hong Kong arrested Cardinal Joseph Zen on a phony “national security” charge. Zen’s immediate offense was his alleged involvement in a dissolved fund to defend those harmed by the ruthless crackdown on pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong. His real crime is his unwillingness to overlook Beijing’s broken promises about establishing democracy with universal suffrage in Hong Kong—a promise it made to get the former colony back from the gullible British.

Young, the longest-serving Republican in the history of the U.S. House, was Alaska’s sole congressman for 49 years, so the election to replace him is in some ways an historic event for the state. But it’s also historic in another way: it will be Alaska’s first ever statewide mail-in primary election. That is, there will be no in-person voting at all. Every single voter on the state’s bloated and error-riddled voter rolls was automatically mailed a blank ballot.
