Tech executive Rodney Joffe fed the Alfa Bank hoax to the FBI via two distinct routes, testimony from yesterday’s proceedings in the Michael Sussmann criminal case indicates. This apparent circular reporting further cements Special Counsel John Durham’s Section 1001 false statement case against Sussmann by highlighting the significance of Sussmann’s alleged lie to former FBI General Counsel James Baker.
Sussmann, who is in the middle of week two of his trial in a D.C. federal court, was charged last fall in a one-count indictment with lying to Baker when he provided Baker two flash drives and several “white papers”

Looks like Mr. Durham did a lot of digging. We can only hope that the evidence will be so overwhelming the DC jury will have no option but to convict. Then I remember the O.J. Simpson trial…and then there is the highly compromised judge in this trial. One can hope.

someone tell me how anyone deceives a professional law enforcement officer, especially the agents of the FBI into thinking something is legitimate when, in fact, it is not and both parties know it?

The real question to be asked is where did the Muellar $$$ go for his investigation. It is apparent that Durham is conducting a real investigation. Muellar did a shadow dance. Why? Was 45's DOJ responsible? Questions Barr? Clarify.

The FBI is a bureaucracy. Sussman fed his lies far up the chain and it went further, apparently to the top, where the Director and his minions were willing dupes, if not co-conspirators. The field agents need to make their superiors happy, and investigating nothing is an easy route to take...and then the press can get a sniff of this investigation through a leak and run with the story themselves. I suspect this was the original plan before everyone got carried away as the fear of a Trump administration overtook the potential of one.

It is impossible to be deceived when you created the plot to overthrow the President in the first place.

Give me a break! Who's buying this story? Deceiving the FBI? They played along for their own protection if ever questioned.

The word "deceives" should have quotes around it that headline statement. The FBI officials involved may be corrupt, but they aren't stupid.

#4, I think you're right, but would add they used their privileged access to these powerful people to exploit the situation for their partisan, political gain.
I'm sure it was inferred that those top-level (7th floor) folks would be rewarded (quid pro quo) in what was expected to be the in-coming Clinton administration.
The fact that the FBI was able to not find the Steele dossier credible within 1 day, and was early-on in the matter, yet they all continued on regardless of the facts indicates the conspiracy, or joint venture, as it was described in the current Court proceedings.
This enables Durham to push on, and many of those aren't covered by a statue of limitations either.

Still no mention of 'Sussman' on the 'All Biden Channel' (the one owned by the pedophiles at Disney) website.
Reminds me of a dog that will not look at you when you call it. "I don't see you, I can't hear you, you can't see me."

The FBI was not 'deceived', they were cooperating partners in the project.

Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, and Fornhorn Leghorn could have showed up at the FBI's door petting this tripe and the FBI would have bought it. The FBI is coco for Democrats and would bend over backwards with the lamest of excuses to nail a Rebublican.

Too bad it only went to the bad 1% and the 99% good agents didn't get wind of it, or it would have been curtains for the conspirators!
