‘Typo’ concealed Clinton lawyer’s
connection to Trump-Russia allegations,
FBI agent testifies

An FBI agent testified in court Tuesday that a “typo” in an email led investigators in 2016 to believe that false allegations linking former President Trump to Russia’s Alfa Bank originated with the Department of Justice, when in fact they came from Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann. FBI Agent Curtis Heide, who along with agent Allison Sands authored the internal communication, said the inaccuracy, sent out just weeks before the 2016 election, was simply a mistake. “We may have conflated the Office of the General Counsel and the Justice Department,” Mr. Heide said on the witness stand. “I don’t know how that information got in there.”

Comments:

Sure, lie under oath. A cocky bunch to be sure, and probably with good reason given the way Americans define equal protection under the law.

FBI agents are correctly taught to be agonizingly precise in what they do, so that they can testify accurately in court. Ms, Heide's half-azzed explanation is a joke. Or more of George Costanza's grapefruit juice in the eye.

Says he don't know how that got in there, then offers that it is a typo, and they may have conflated the DOJ and the FBI General Counsel Office. I suspect he does know how it got in there, and since he offers an explanation, I will offer that he put it in there.
