Over a Dozen U.S. Bishops Rush to Support
SF Archbishop Blocking Nancy Pelosi from Communion

ROME — A flurry of U.S. bishops have rallied behind San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, who has barred Nancy Pelosi from receiving Holy Communion because of her aggressive abortion advocacy. As of May 23, at least 13 U.S. bishops have made public statements praising and thanking Archbishop Cordileone for the move, which was variously described as “courageous,” “heroic,” and “compassionate.” Lincoln Bishop James Conley, for instance, said he supports Archbishop Cordileone “in his courageous pastoral outreach to a member of his flock. His actions are made as a shepherd with the heart of Christ.”

I am not a Catholic. How does Pelosi’s and her local archbishop’s playing fast and loose with another archbishop’s having banned her from communion because of her advocacy of abortion strike the average Catholic??

It should be unanimous, but won't be. The Catholic church hierarchy is infested with priests, bishops, and archbishops who think Catholic church teachings are merely "suggestions."

The Catholic Church is not doing so well. They are losing people in the pews. As lifelong Catholic I refuse to leave the Church because of the horrible decisions made by the hierarchy. The Cardinal in my Archdiocese the Archdiocese of Washington cardinal Gregory has no problem with giving Pelosi Communion. He was picked by Cardinal Weirhl and Cardinal Mc Carrick who themselves had troubles involving homosexuals, and has come under suspicion himself. It's no surprise that he refuses to support the act of a brave Bishop from San Francisco. You want to know why people are leaving the Church. It isn't their faith in the Church it is their faith in it's hierarchy.

Dear. Nancy. The church is not to be of the world, but of the kingdom of G-d brought to fruition through Christ. The building is not to be a backdrop for campaign photos but a sanctuary of communion with God with mindful thankfulness of all He is doing. You are mixing politics with religion. Which will you serve? Your priest loves you enough to speak the truth so you do not eat unworthily bring your soul to damnation.

I am a Catholic unlike Whoppie Goldberg who has the nerve to think she knows more about Catholicsm than an archbishop. Let me make one thing clear about what we believe about the Eucharist. In our faith, it is not a symbol but the real presence of Christ who told us "This is my body." Look up the Eucharistic miracles on YouTube. Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and other cafeteria catholics know full well that they are defiling the faith when they take communion with an evil soul.

Speaking as an Evangelical Christian, where in the blazes are the protestant ministers/pastors speaking out for the unborn babies and in support for the PRO LIFE CATHOLIC PRIESTS? We all are part of the BODY OF CHRIST, aren't we? When one is attacked, we all are attacked. As Paul the Apostle said when one part of the Body hurts, another part of the body hurts. Nancy Pelosi is in serious trouble. And not the kind of trouble associated with such petty, earthly concerns like her party losing its majority in a humiliating and historic fashion this coming November. And with that loss, her loss of the speakership for the second time in a dozen years. No, Nancy Pelosi has some serious trouble with the disposition of her soul. And she needs our prayers, even if she doesn't believe it herself. Last week, her Archbishop, the aptly named Salvatore Cordileone, notified Pelosi that she should no longer present herself for the Holy Eucharist when attending Mass.

A court in Ohio has ruled that a lawsuit from state Attorney General Dave Yost, which labels Google a common carrier subject to special regulations and litigation, can proceed, a significant development for Republicans seeking to hold tech companies accountable for bias and censorship. Under U.S. law, common carriers are subject to strict regulations about who they can and cannot deny service to. Along with businesses categorized as public accommodations, they are expected to provide service to all paying customers on a non-discriminatory basis. Examples of common carriers in the U.S. include utilities and telecommunications companies.
