The family of the Goldman Sachs employee who was gunned down in a random subway attack Sunday morning has a message for Mayor Eric Adams—“Do your job.” Griselda Vile decried the gun violence that cut short the life of her 48-year-old brother, Daniel Enriquez, while he was riding a Q train on his way to brunch. “No one, no one, no one should have this happen to their family,” Vile told The Post Sunday evening. “And the worst part is, even if they catch this person he’s going to be out again,” she added, touching on the state’s bail reform laws that have let so many criminals

They actually included a description of the criminal. The problem is that there are so many released criminals that fit the description it will be like finding a needle in a haystack. When they finally identify the perp it will be the same story of repeat violent offenses, arrests, and early release.

The MTA’s $90 million boondoggle bus dispatch war-room has “critical design and execution flaws” that could render it useless in the event of an emergency power outage, The Post has learned. An outside engineering assessment obtained by The Post found several “single points of failure” in the back-up power system of the NASA-like command center, which has sat mostly empty for three years since former Transit President Andy Byford and other bigwigs held a celebratory ribbon-cutting there in June 2019.(Snip)The consultants said the router that failed was not supported by any back-up power source, and was housed in an overheated room “wholly unsuited

An FBI agent testified in court Tuesday that a “typo” in an email led investigators in 2016 to believe that false allegations linking former President Trump to Russia’s Alfa Bank originated with the Department of Justice, when in fact they came from Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann. FBI Agent Curtis Heide, who along with agent Allison Sands authored the internal communication, said the inaccuracy, sent out just weeks before the 2016 election, was simply a mistake. “We may have conflated the Office of the General Counsel and the Justice Department,” Mr. Heide said on the witness stand. “I don’t know how that information got in there.”

The head of one of New York City’s largest homeless housing providers was sentenced Monday to 27 months in federal prison for pocketing hundreds of thousands of dollars earmarked for the city’s neediest residents. Bronx Parent Housing Network CEO Victor Rivera collected the cash through bribes and kickbacks on top of his $453,000 salary during a surge of homelessness between 2013 and 2020, authorities said. The charity head handpicked and overpaid contractors at construction, security and real estate firms for projects at soup kitchens, shelters and affordable-housing facilities—in exchange for some of the city cash he used to pay them.
