Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of the Archdiocese of San Francisco has taken the extreme step of publishing a letter informing Rep. Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the House of Representatives and third in the line of succession for the presidency, that she must recant her public support for abortion and confess her sins before she will be allowed to partake of the Eucharist. It’s the most drastic action yet taken by a leader of the Catholic Church against a high-ranking pro-abortion politician. The Bishop of the Springfield, IL diocese gave the same punishment to state politicians; House Speaker Michael Madigan and Senate President John Cullerton were also banned from receiving communion.

Why would the activist left complain? Abortion is their religion. They love cancel culture.

Excommunicate her! This is the time to regret the fact that the church cannot burn them at the stake anymore.

The Catholic Church has been steadfast in its opposition to abortion. For years, politicians like Pelosi, Biden and the Kennedys have marched up to the communion rail and taken the host while not just tolerating abortion, but actively supporting and promoting it while claiming to be "devout Catholics." They're long overdue for a "come to Jesus" discussion with the Church hierarchy. There are other denominations that are less opposed to abortion. Perhaps San Fran Nan should investigate one of those.

2nd post apologies, but, 14 Senators and 60 House members, are Catholic and pro abortion. I won't use up band width to list all of the House members, but the Senators are:
Bob Casey, (hypocrite to the nth degree)
Maria Cantwell
Catherine Masto
Dick Durbin
Kirsten Gillibrand
Tim Kaine (also a hypocrite)
Mark Kelly
Patrick Leahy
Ed Markey
Bob Menendez
Patty Murray
Alex Padilla
Jack Reed
B. Lujan

These politicians use the excuse that they themselves oppose abortion. But have to support the “right” of people who do not.

Unless she repents she should be denied a Catholic funeral. The Satan Club could hold her service

Maybe the purging of our government and the purging of our religious organizations will be simultaneous.

Clickbait spin from the PJM. Not exactly out of character.
Nasty P. is a prominent politician who has repeatedly given loud and public support for abortion "rights"... obstinately engaging in promotional activism, and aggressively tried to push through legislation to make it the law of the land ... it's way beyond just support.

God's law vs man's law. Eternity is a long time. Choose wisely. As our Lady said, not all the clergy is leading the faithful to heaven. Pray, pray, and then pray some more.

Pelosi is quoted as saying: “It isn’t about ‘What is your religious belief.’ It’s ‘What is the right of people to make their own decisions and the size and time or if they’re going to have a family?’ "
She could have stood on this point and probably could have had it both ways, but that isn't what she has been doing. She's been actively supporting abortion.

#2 Maybe not as dramatic as you see it. Abortion "rids" society of white and black single mothers who become dependent on the monthly payment. We can thank the sexual revolution and third world culture for this burden.

Yes, U.S, Senator Bob Menendez, a proud Catholic, a proud graduate of the Jesuit-run Saint Peter’s University and a proud, not to mention, smug, pro-abortion defender.
