I don't shop at leftist, obnoxious stores like Target any more. But....the diesel fuel prices are a huge tax on all businesses, and if your margins are narrow, which most big retailers are, the increased shipping is a serious detriment. I can tell you, businesses will be rearranging their operations to help minimize huge increase in shipping costs. And of course, all the folks shipping their money to Bezos via extreme left Amazon aren't helping any of the brick and mortar stores, either.

"Throughout the quarter, we faced unexpectedly high costs, driven by a number of factors..." It's not just Target. All retailers, regardless of size, can't raise prices fast enough to offset rapidly rising costs on various fronts, though I suspect smaller retailers can react quicker than big boxes if those price increases don't run them out of business. Repeat the same quote as above when they talk about the 2nd quarter results.

We used to love shopping at Target. Then they went woke. We haven’t shopped there in 3 years. Their commercials over the past couple years have shown they don’t care to sell to white people, so we’ve obliged. Sad how much pleasure has been stolen from us by the left. Glad it’s hurting them. Maybe they will reconsider. We probably won’t ever go back.

Three weeks ago my brother and I went to a Target in California to get a burner phone for my mother. The regular salesman in that department was at lunch. Four different sales people came over and none of them knew how to help us. I then walked over to ladies pajamas. With every pair the top and bottom had to be purchased seperately and nothing was cheaper than $25.00. We left in disgust.

I stopped shopping at Target when the company announced that biological males who were "more comfortable" using female restrooms and dressing rooms were welcome to do so. But there's a problem with that if you're a woman. You NEED boundaries, and you're entitled to them. Just as female athletes are at a disadvantage when men are allowed to "compete" against them in sports, they're also at a disadvantage when corporations or politicians create a "right" for men to access their dressing rooms, restrooms, and in the case of female athletes, their showers. I don't understand why a corporation or government would want to put women through that.

No surprise to me. All of retail is going to take a nosedive. Unlike the people running the country, most people don't have access to large amounts of money to buy things. After food and gas, there is no extra income to buy a lot of things at Target or anywhere else. Using a credit card also has to be viewed as an expense with interest rates going up.

Our family stopped shopping there when they started to require that we let any perverted man in a skirt go into the lady's room with our teenage daughter if she had to pee. Their policy wouldn't allow her biological father to go in to defend her from the other men in the lady's room, of course... unless he identified as her mother, (can't allow that toxic masculinity in). They ignore all the rapes by the trans crowd, but my daughter getting raped is a price they are willing to pay to build their demented version of Utopia. California energy officials issued a sobering warning this month, telling residents to brace for potential blackouts as the state’s energy grid faces capacity constraints heading into the summer months. And since the state has committed to phase out all new gas-powered vehicles by 2035 — well ahead of federal targets — the additional load from electric vehicle (EV) charging could add more strain to the electric grid. “Let’s say we were to have a substantial number of [electric] vehicles charging at home as everybody dreams,” Ram Rajagopal, an associate professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University, who authored

Progressive Democrats caught a much-needed break on Tuesday night, after coming up short in an earlier spate of elections this cycle.
