The Senate voted to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed on H.R. 7691, the Ukraine Supplemental Aid Package. The motion passed 81-11. This means that the Senate can begin debate on the Ukraine aid package.
The legislation would provide over $20 billion in military supplies and roughly $20 billion in humanitarian, economic, and other aid to Ukraine.
While Senate Republicans and Democrats overwhelmingly voted to advance the legislation, many populist-leaning Republicans such as Sens. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Rand Paul (R-KY) have opposed the legislation.
More of our money given away, without any oversight. Wonder if any of that cash will make it out of the Swamp…

And not one cent for our defense. This administration should viewed as a criminal conspiracy and treated like the Nazis at Nuremberg.

From their Christmas List: $900 million for the Administration for Children and Families for refugee and entrant assistance---and, $350 million for the State Department’s Migration and Refugee Assistance. Entry and Migration! These two items constitute democrat voter development efforts. The last and smallest on the entire list is this one: $1 million for USAID’s Office of Inspector General. But it goes to just one person....to look the other way and keep his mouth shut.

I think they’re being short-sighted.

I don't ever recall the United States bailing out another country's retirement system. Guess we are going to be hip deep in Ukraine whether we want to or not poking a Russian bear. Not the first time for that. Anyone recall Obama trying to overthrow the government of Syria with Republican blessing? We were actually favoring ISIS. Just like how we backed the Taliban in Afghanistan not too long ago.

We’re shelling out $40 billion that we don’t have in order to aid a sovereign country in their fight against a foreign invasion. Just think how many miles of wall that money could build on our own border against our own foreign invasion.

Who is going to follow all the US money as it filters through foreign entities to keep percentages from being raked off through corruption in a very corrupt part of Eastern Europe? Certainly not the wimpy Republicans! In the short term much of this current expenditure is being earmarked to defend Ukraine’s borders at a time when the Democrats and some RINOS are are OK with dismantling the US-Mexico borderline, does that make any sense?
This 40 billion is chickenfeed, compared to after the shooting stops when the time comes to rebuild Ukraine, with the DC UniParty politicians calling for a huge “Marshal Fund” type operation to be set up to rebuild Ukraine, with the USA actually paying 90% or more of the costs. Common sense will tell you that the potential corrupt rake offs from such a fund will be tremendous going to all sorts of foreign and USA entities and people, including US politicians and their family members.

How many hands does it pass through, each one playing 'the overhead game' to grab off as much as possible.
Also... what's that down in the itty-bitty fine print on the last 'Appendix' that says something about "10% for the Big Guy"?

This Breitbart story goes into detail about where the money is to be allocted. How many hands will this be laundered through? Why is it so wrong to ask that the money be spent where it can be accounted for? Note well the globalist RINOs who went with Yertle the Turtle. We have to live within our means-- so should the government.
