Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders was snapped ditching his socialist principals to fly first class to campaign for a woke Democrat state representative candidate. Sanders was spotted on an American Airlines flight to Pittsburgh Friday to stump for State Representative Summer Lee, running for an open seat in Pennsylvania's 18th District. Sanders, wearing a mask, appears to head for the front of the plane in the photos obtained by Fox News from a fellow first class traveler. He was also snapped by an excited Twitter user in the same row, although its unclear if Sanders availed himself of the free booze

The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose for the 16th straight day Friday, hitting $5.919 per gallon. The price rose 2.2 cents over the last 24 hours, the largest daily increase since Feb. 25, according to the latest numbers from AAA. The 16-day streak follows a run of 28 decreases in 30 days. (Snip) California gas prices are also exacerbated because the state has the highest gas tax in the nation, at 51.1 cents per gallon. The gas tax is scheduled to increase again on July 1 because of inflation. Republican state leaders

Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler dismissed concerns the Biden administration was sending baby formula to border facilities during a nationwide shortage Thursday. Parents have been struggling to find the essential commodity in stores, with supply dipping to 43% below normal, according to Datasembly, which tracks product data for retailers. However, Kessler defended the administration's actions and called the concerns "faux outrage." "This is a ridiculous faux outrage. The shortage of baby formula is a serious issue that the administration is seeking to address. But at the same time, the administration cannot be faulted for following the law and providing baby

ANKARA - President Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday it was not possible for NATO-member Turkey to support plans by Sweden and Finland to join the pact, saying the Nordic countries were "home to many terrorist organisations". Though Turkey has officially supported enlargement since it joined NATO 70 years ago, its opposition could pose a problem for Sweden and Finland given new members need unanimous agreement. Finland's plan to apply for NATO membership, announced Thursday, and the expectation that Sweden will follow, would bring about the expansion of the Western military alliance that Russian President Vladimir Putin aimed to prevent by launching

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Rep. Ted Budd, former President Donald Trump’s chosen candidate in the U.S. Senate race in North Carolina, has built a dominant lead even as voters cast their ballots in the Republican primary. Budd, the 13th District representative from Advance who earned Trump’s endorsement and has millions in super PAC money to spend, now has the support of 43% of Republican voters, based on the most recent WGHP/The Hill/Emerson College Poll, a 5-point increase from the first poll conducted in April. That widened Budd’s lead to 27 points over his next closest challenger, former Gov. Pat McCrory, among

In the era of Black Lives Matter, does the Biden administration really want to take on prominent activists like Al Sharpton and Ben Crump—and make lives potentially harder for Black men, all because the government says it’s in their best interest? There is a cost-benefit analysis to be had between good public health policy and the dynamics of criminal justice reform as Democrats weigh the FDA’s proposed ban on menthol cigarettes, which will disproportionately affect the Black community. (Snip) Nearly 85 percent of Black smokers use menthol (as opposed to just 29 percent of white smokers), and its alluring cooling

Pennsylvania Republican insiders are making a last-ditch effort to rally behind a single candidate in the gubernatorial primary – and defeat the front-runner, Doug Mastriano. Republican leaders are trying to corral Mastriano’s four leading rivals to urge all but one of them to drop out — and endorse the one with the best poll numbers. One version of the proposal calls for rallying behind former U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta, who was well-liked by former President Donald Trump and polling in second place in the latest public survey. It’s a long-shot ploy a week before the primary that many Republicans believe

Carvana, the fast-growing used-car seller based in Tempe, announced Tuesday its plans to lay off 2,500 employees – more than 10% of its workforce – as losses mount. The company, which operates a network of high-profile vehicle "vending machines" including one at Loop 202 and Scottsdale Road, said the move was designed to "better align staffing and expense levels with sales volumes." Carvana reported a $506 million loss in its first quarter ending March 31, well above red ink of $82 million during the same stretch of 2021, despite a 56% jump in revenue to $3.5 billion and a 14% increase in

Three Texas churches were vandalized by pro-choice activists. The graffiti was noticed by a church member early Monday when they arrived for an 8 a.m. meeting. They discovered the message on the doors of the church's main entrance and side door reading: "Pro-Choice is Pro-Life." "It's very unfortunate that people would desecrate the church like this, take their frustration out on the church," stated Father Peter Damian Harris, pastor at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houston. Following the incident, the church decided to change their hours of operation and open 30 minutes before confession and Mass. The church will close

Steve Schmidt, a former senior strategist on then-Senator John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, published a scathing expose and mea culpa late Sunday night and apologized publicly to the New York Times for denying reporting he now claims was accurate regarding McCain. “I would like to apologize to the journalists whose bylines appear on the story,” Schmidt wrote on his newly launched Substack. “Their credibility, integrity, and professionalism were unfairly attacked by the McCain campaign of which I was a part of. I got it wrong. These journalists, like many others, were also victims of this lie.” The story in question

PHILADELPHIA — U.S. Sen. Bob Casey announced his support of the Women’s Health Protection Act on Tuesday, marking a major shift for the longtime anti-abortion Democrat. The Pennsylvania senator released a statement via Twitter regarding the Senate’s upcoming vote. Referring to the recently leaked draft Supreme Court decision regarding Roe v. Wade, he wrote, "The real question of the moment is: Do you support a categorical ban on abortion? During my time in public office, I have never voted for—nor do I support—such a ban."
