A St. Paul artist is making her mark and making history in Northfield. Artist Lori Greene created a mural for the Northfield City Council Chambers. The piece is called “The River Connects Us.” The mural shows different elements of Northfield, its river, trees, and people who aren’t always represented. (snip) Greene hopes when people see her mural in the council chambers, they see themselves. “I hope they are inspired,” Greene said. “I hope it’s interesting to them. Minnesota could become a destination for abortion services for women from other states if the U.S. Supreme Court throws out the landmark Roe v. Wade decision, and the state's abortion providers said Tuesday that they're preparing for the anticipated surge. That's because abortion would remain legal, at least for now, under a 1995 Minnesota Supreme Court ruling known as Doe v. Gomez, which effectively established a right to abortion under the state constitution, said Laura Hermer, a professor at the Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

Let it be known that the politicians of the Democrat Party in Washington are either evil or cowardly with the exception of one. Reports say that Democrats had brought Roe v Wade to the floor in order to codify it into law. The goal was to legalize abortion nationwide up until birth with what would be no limits. As you can imagine, every single Republican voted against this and they were joined by none other than West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin who had indicated that he’d vote against it earlier in the day. This resulted in Democrats being 11 votes shy of what they needed to pass Roe into law.
