Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Tuesday warned that eliminating abortion rights would damage the U.S. economy and 'set women back decades.' 'I believe that eliminating the right of women to make decisions about when and whether to have children would have very damaging effects on the economy and would set women back decades,' she said at a Senate Banking Committee hearing. Yellen was asked about the draft Supreme Court opinion that indicated justices support overturning Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 case that legalized abortion, and the effect such a decision would have on the economy. 'It enabled many women to finish school that increase their earning potential and allowed

If she’s so concerned about setting women back, she should tell her fellow lefty whackos to quit allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports. If this continues it effectively destroys Title IX.

Ok. So, if abortion is saved, the price of gasoline is gonna be affect, how? Will new cars get made? Will grocery selves fill back up? I seriously doubt any decision on abortion is gonna affect 98% of Americans.

A) the Treasury Sec can shut the h up about culture war issues that have nothing to do w/the treasury.
2) Yellin is at odds with Elon Musk and all realists who say we better make more babies to save our economy.

Yellen is as economically illiterate as the NYC economist/idiot Paul Krugman. Krugman hasn't gotten an economic prediction even CLOSE in decades. Yellen is a political hack, and this is political quackery. I guess that's 'hack quackery'. +

No one is 'eliminating' abortion rights. That authority belongs to the people of various sovereign states. The Federal Government simply has no jurisdiction under its enumerated powers. This decision is returning the authority where it belongs. Those with responsible national level positions should be careful in their choice of words. Especially the POTUS.

The Disinformation Governance Board needs to pay a visit to Yellen. There is nothing in the asserted "not-yet decision" that eliminates abortion.

FJB has already caused an irreparable damage effect on our economy and his choices of incompetent, uberLeft black women for VP, SCOTUS, and Press Secretary set women back for decades, and especially black women for twice that.

Here's a thought....Stop having sex or use birth control and then there's no need for an abortion or abortion clinics. The opposite of pro-life is pro-death. Don't know why they call it pro-choice.

And here I thought the purpose of the Treasury Department was to work hand in hand with the Federal Reserve to grind the middle class between the millstones of taxation and inflation.
