The gun-homicide rate jumped by a whopping 35% in 2020 against the backdrop of the pandemic while gun-involved suicides remained steady but alarmingly high, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in a new report Tuesday. The report underscored the ripple effects of COVID-19’s impact on America and the agency’s decision to target gun violence after a decades-long silence. The overall firearm homicide rate jumped from 4.6 per 100,000 persons to 6.1 per 100,000 from 2019 to 2020, its highest level in nearly three decades. Rates increased among all age groups in both urban and rural areas and the largest increases were among Black

Comments:

Gun violence? And here I thought the purpose of the CDC was to track our whereabouts through cell phones, and to lie about Coronavirus treatments. This is yet another branch of the government that needs to be shut down one fine day.

"The largest increases were among Black males aged 10–24 (54.9 to 77.3) and 25–44 years (66.5 to 90.6). “Young persons, males, and Black persons consistently have the highest firearm homicide rates ..." It only takes about 30 paragraphs (admittedly, some of them very short) to find this. There's no mention of where these were occurring. I'm sure it's all in "fly over" country.

There are no "gun homicides". There are homicides. Guns are NOT a factor. The political connection of "guns" to homicides is fraud. Killers use many tools, the tools are not the issue. And what about researching lives saved by guns? This is about 1/2 a million to 2 million per year, every year, based on careful, detailed criminological research, and written up in peer reviewed research papers, year after year. If you are interested in results or methodology - search on Prof. Gary Kleck of Florida State University.

Once the Biden admin and CDC cedes control of US healthcare to the WHO by amending the treaty in the next two weeks, they will attempt to use this data in a future pandemic to try a gun grab in the name in public mental health. What say you people?

The violence is committed largely by black men with pistols therefore the solution according to the government must be to take long arms away from white rural men.

So gun ownership will be determined to be a public health issue. I saw a billboard stating that more veterans' suicides are with a gun. So the psyop is out there being executed daily. #15 is correct. Defund the police, elect Soros prosecutors who won’t prosecute, let violent criminals back out on the street, demonize the cops and railroad them if a black dies in custody, do nothing when black mobs smash and grab with impunity, shoplift and know the perps won’t even be stopped then continue to tell blacks that they are victims and need “reparations” and then blame the horrendous spike in crimes as due to the pandemic. I truly hope a reckoning is coming along with a return to God. Nothing else will save us from the demented left.

Notice the Murder Rates: Overall: "The overall firearm homicide rate jumped from 4.6 per 100,000 persons to 6.1 per 100,000 from 2019 to 2020" Black males: "Black males aged 10–24 (54.9 to 77.3) and 25–44 years (66.5 to 90.6)". Overall rate of 6.1 per 100,000, Black Males rate of 90.6 per 100,000 Lets, see..... 90.6 divided by 6.1 is 14.8. Call it 15. Black Males 24 to 44 are killing people at FIFTEEN TIMES the overall rate Being that the overall rate includes the Black Males, I wonder what the rate is among those Eeevil White People who Work, who have Families, and Cling to their Guns and Religion? 2?.....3? per 100,000? The obvious Elephant in the Room, that is Studiously Ignored by the leftists at the CDC, is that it is not a Gun 'problem', it is a Thug 'problem'. The murder rate is orders of magnitude higher in places where American culture has been displaced by Urban Thug Culture. The Leftists know this as well as everyone else, but as they are promoting Urban Thug Culture, they are not going to admit that this is the cause of the sky-high murder rate. The Crime rate, the Murder rate, the easy access to all the illegal drugs, the horrible 'schools' in urban areas ..... all are a result of Leftist policies. Indeed, these are the intended result of those policies. The Leftists are intent on destroying America, as long as they get to Rule over the Ashes.

President Biden admitted Wednesday that inflation was stuck at “unacceptably high” levels after the annual rate fell slightly in April to 8.3%—but then blamed the COVID-19 pandemic and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine for the price increases rather than government spending. “While it is heartening to see that annual inflation moderated in April, the fact remains that inflation is unacceptably high,” Biden said in a statement. Inflation hit a 40-year annual high of 8.5% in March. Although the annual inflation rate ticked lower in April, prices actually increased 0.3% on a month-to-month basis. Biden had attempted to preempt the latest inflation data

The New Jersey Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that Sundiata Acoli, a former Black Panther convicted in the 1973 slaying of New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster, may be released on parole after spending nearly 50 years in prison. Acoli, 85, was an accomplice to Assata Shakur, born JoAnne Chesimard, who was also convicted in Foerster's killing. Shakur later escaped prison and fled to Cuba, where former Cuban Prime Minister Fidel Castro granted her asylum. New Jersey's high court ruled that the state's parole board unlawfully denied Acoli's petition for release in 2010 when they stated that he would pose a threat to public safety if granted parole.

Let it be known that the politicians of the Democrat Party in Washington are either evil or cowardly with the exception of one. Reports say that Democrats had brought Roe v Wade to the floor in order to codify it into law. The goal was to legalize abortion nationwide up until birth with what would be no limits. As you can imagine, every single Republican voted against this and they were joined by none other than West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin who had indicated that he’d vote against it earlier in the day. This resulted in Democrats being 11 votes shy of what they needed to pass Roe into law.
