The average price of gas in the U.S. just hit its highest mark ever — $4.37 a gallon, according to AAA. [Tweet] Now, that’s the average. In some places, like California, that average would look like Nirvana if they got to see those prices again. The state average there is approaching $6.00. It’s up $1.41 since last year and 17 cents since last week. This, despite Joe Biden’s claims that he’s doing something about it by depleting our emergency supply.

A state-owned public transport operator in Paris, France, the Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens, has pulled out 149 electric buses from its fleet after two of them spontaneously exploded within the same month.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has ordered the U.S. Marshals Service to ensure the safety of Supreme Court justices amid protests sparked by a leaked draft opinion that would overturn Roe vs. Wade.
“The Attorney General directed the U.S. Marshals Service to help ensure the Justices’ safety by providing additional support to the Marshal of the Supreme Court and Supreme Court Police,” the Justice Department said in a press release Wednesday.
The statement did not add further details about the security measures, noting that Garland “continues to be briefed on security matters related to the Supreme Court and Supreme Court Justices.”
