More human remains found in Lake Mead

More human remains have been found at Lake Mead less than a week after authorities discovered the remains of a man in a barrel amid a drought that has dropped the reservoir's water level to historic lows. A witness saw human skeletal remains in the Calville Bay area of Lake Mead around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, the National Parks Service said. The Clark County Medical Examiner has not yet identified the cause of death. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing. Police warned last week that more bodies could turn up in the country's largest reservoir — located on the border

Comments:

It's creepy to think the man-made lake is full of dead bodies. How many more will they find?

How many bodies do you suppose are inside the concrete that was poured for the dam's construction? (And how many of THOSE do you suppose weren't accidental?)

A lot has been made in the press lately about the many Native American women who’ve gone missing in New Mexico and neighboring states. I’ve long believed that the authorities could comb over an area encompassing a half-mile corridor on either side of I-40, between Albuquerque and the Arizona border, and find dozens of bodies/remains of long-missing women. I-40 is well-known for its huge Amon of big-rig traffic, but I call it “Predator Alley.”

Steve Schmidt, a former senior strategist on then-Senator John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, published a scathing expose and mea culpa late Sunday night and apologized publicly to the New York Times for denying reporting he now claims was accurate regarding McCain. “I would like to apologize to the journalists whose bylines appear on the story,” Schmidt wrote on his newly launched Substack. “Their credibility, integrity, and professionalism were unfairly attacked by the McCain campaign of which I was a part of. Barrington, Rhode Island, public schools are among the best in the state. Many parents move to the district, and tolerate the higher taxes, because of the academic rigor that sets their children up for attending Ivy League schools or receiving academic merit scholarships. However, all of that academic appeal is being chipped away after the district brought in a so-called "equity and inclusion" agenda. De-leveling, or a system of universal learning, was first implemented in Barrington on the most vulnerable students—the students with learning disabilities and Individualized Education Programs (IEP). Two officers discharged their duty weapons and struck the suspect more than once. The suspect dropped the knife, but got up and attempted to flee the scene on foot. Houston police said it all started when a man, identified as 27-year-old Ronnie Dwayne Cesear, Jr. approached a 67-year-old construction worker, Carrl Hayes, who was working in the area overnight. Cesear stabbed Hayes with a butcher knife, then jumped into the victim’s truck and ran him over, police said.
