A customer’s monthslong beef with a Queens Chinese restaurant over duck sauce is now being eyed by NYPD detectives as a possible motive for the fatal shooting of a well-liked deliveryman, the Daily News has learned. The NYPD wants to question the disgruntled customer—a 50-year-old man once charged with armed robbery—about the Saturday night shooting of Zhiwen Yan as he was riding a scooter near 108th St. and 67th Drive in Forest Hills, sources said Monday.(Snip)Police traced the plate and identified the customer as a nearby resident with 10 arrests between 1995 and 2012, all of which are sealed, sources said.

NYC allows dangerous psychopaths loose on the streets, but we're assured that the city is generally safe. This guy did an armed robbery using a gun, which is supposed to be against the law, and had also previously menaced the manager of the restaurant with a gun and vandalized his car, among other crimes. And now a working man is dead.

Mental illness comes to my mind reading this. I had to deal with a joker of color one time while working at a home improvement store years ago. Nobody wanted to wait on him because he was obviously bonkers with an anti-white attitude. I got stuck with him because nobody else but me was working that department. It was tense.

This could have been a Seinfeld episode, unless the perp was black. Larry David, as Executive Producer of Seinfeld, insulted every possible group - except for blacks. I can think of darned near every group he insulted, but the closest I can come to that was an episode where Elaine thought she was dating a black, he wasn't, and he thought she was Puerto Rican, and she wasn't.

The Center, New York City’s LGBTQ community center, is celebrating the life and legacy of Keith Haring by renaming a wing after the beloved late artist. On Wednesday, on what would’ve been Haring’s 64th birthday, The Center announced a new name for its annex building: the Keith Haring Community Wing. The Reading, Pa.-born pop artist, whose drawings went from the graffiti subculture of downtown New York to the walls of some of the world’s most prestigious museums, died of AIDS-related complications in February 1990 at the age of 31. During his short-lived career, Haring used his unmistakable images of colorful, almost child-like images as a powerful tool
